Check Your Drink Before You Sip

I recently visited the Lacled Street Grill and was a little surprised by management. My friends and I decided to go to the bar to relax and enjoy good food as usual. Although the server was slow with service, the food was tasty and fulfilling. However, one of my pals ordered a drink and after a couple of sips she noticed that she had also received a complimentary fly. Well, we informed the manager who came over to our table and he offered another drink. My pal asked if the drink could be comped out of courtesy of almost choking on a fly that she didn't order and his response was "Flies always get into the drinks. Besides we made you another perfectly good drink". Well we were completely in shock and disgusted. We told him to forget the drink (and tip) and just give us our bill so we could leave. After that experience, I will be finding another bar to attend that has more alcohol and less insects.

Laclede Street Bar and Grill

The night scene at Laclede Street Bar and Grill is awesome from Thursday to Saturday night. However, if you are not looking for the Bar scene, I highly recommend going there for lunch or dinner. There Jalapeno pizza is excellent and their deals on small pitchers is awesome. During the day, it is okay to bring the family for some good bar and grill food. Also, it is a great place to go to watch the game with your buddies.

pizza and toasted ravs

The pizza is St. Louis style but done well. This is more than a cracker with cheese. The BBQ chicken pizza was good but the spinach pizza was great. T-ravs are made with sauage and cheese, a real split from the norm in STL.

- Cons: crowded, smoky
