You'll Love Clarice's Bridal!. Clarice's Bridal is fantastic! Words can not describe how wonderful my experience was. It was the third dress shop I tried. Clarice's sets itself apart in service, value, selection, and style. I went in with no idea what I wanted. My consultant helped me figure out my style and find the dress of my dreams. All of the employees were sweet as can be, helpful, and patient. I've seen my dress selling for as high as four hundred dollars more than the price I paid at Clarice's. I highly recommend giving Clarice's a try!
I had my bridesmaids purchase their dress from Clarice's. I called when they were ready to schedule a time for me (the bride) to pick up the dresses since I was a lot closer to the store than my bridesmaids. I was given a hard time with no good reason for trying to schedule a pick up. They advised they prefer the bridesmaids to pick up their own dresses. My bridesmaids are doing enough for me, it is the least I can do to pick up their dresses. Not sure if the goal is to sell alterations as well? We were finally able to get past that and schedule a pick up time.
I went to pick up the dresses and they look like they've been pulled straight out of the shipping boxes and put on a hanger all wrinkled. I asked the staff if they could press the dresses as these are not inexpensive dresses. I was advised they will need alterations anyway and if they want their dresses not wrinkley, they can come in the week before the wedding and pay the store $10 more each to have the dress steamed and ironed. I may be setting the bar high, but I would think if you spend $150+ on a dress that it should be ready to wear upon pick up from the store. You shouldn't have to pay extra to make a dress wearable.
I followed up with the store and was treated as though I was wrong. I was made to feel like my requests were unreasonable for a number of reasons but sure, they'll go ahead and steam my dresses. I don't trust this store after the way I've been treated, spending almost $800 in there, to let them near my dresses again.
Further, we were told when we ordered that these dresses came with shawls. When I inquired where the shawls were, I was told that I was wrong and the person who said that almost 3 months ago perfectly remembers that she did not say that and that she offered to sell us shawls if we wanted. I do not feel like once our money was in their hands that this store has been up front or customer service oriented whatsoever. I would never recommend anyone use this shop in the future.
Great service & great selection. This place was great! Katie was awesome! She knew exactly what I was looking for and made me smile. Smiling was definitely something I hadn't done in any other bridal store. GREAT selection of dresses! I felt like a princess! Yahoo! I found my dress!
Ehh, it's alright. Extensive selection, yet they did not have many of the style I was looking for (sheath). Nice girls, ok atmosphere. I did ask for a glass of water and the sales girl had to go hunt for a glass in a storage closet - only God knows what had been in that glass.
It was Phenomenal!.
I'd been to several bridal places in the metro area and wasn't really finding the dress that gave me the "AAAAH" feeling...okay, so I did find a $4,200.00 dress that I liked more than other dresses, BUT, a friend of mine had such a wonderful experience here that I decided to take her up on her offer to make an appointment with her salesperson. The first thing that impressed the heck out of me was that Jasmina "sized me up" at first glance. She looked at some of the pictures I'd brought in of dresses I had liked online and in magazines..narrowed it down to three and as luck would have it, had just gotten one of those in THAT DAY!
The three of us spent some time picking dresses out and I tried several on..the second one being the one the store had just gotten in. Keep in mind, I wanted that "AAAAH" feeling when I found the dress and I got all of that and more....the genuine pleasure on Jasmina's face when we looked at how the dress looked on me, with veil, was priceless! I not only had the "AAAAH" feeling, but I actually cried--a feeling I didn't get at all when I purchased a wedding dress for my first wedding.
The professionalism, brutal honesty (which I am a HUGE fan of), selection and fun loving atmosphere were BIG bonuses for me (having worked retail for several years, I know how beneficial these things are) and a pleasure to experience--things I'd not experienced at most of the other stores I'd been in.
The dress will be purchased in a few weeks (which was priced $300.00 less than the same dress, elsewhere) and I will be returning with my daughter to pick out her maid of honor dress. Any time I need a special occasion dress, I'll return here--wish I'd been there before I purchased my travesty of a maid of honor dress for my brother's wedding!
And they will ALWAYS receive a recommendation from me to other brides to be. Thanks for such wonderful service!
They made an important purchase easy!.
This was the first store I went to in my search for a wedding dress, based largely on their rating in The Knot Best of issue.
I was completely wowed. My salesgirl, Katie, listened to me, asked questions about my style and the style of my wedding, including where and when it was being held. She started pulling merchandise and asking what I thought and if I was willing to try on dresses that I initially thought I would not like. She was bubbly, helpful and personable.
The second dress was the one I went with. Katie, my mom and I all knew, although I tried several others, just to satiate my curiousity. As luck would have it, there was a sale going on until the end of the month, which was about a week away. Katie also told me that she had the wrap and purse that went with the dress, so unless I wanted to keep my own, I could save my money and borrow hers. Who would have expected that?
When I explained that this was the first store I visited and I had other appointments, she said that she thinks it is important to visit several stores to make sure you have found the dress of your dreams.
After a horrible experience elsewhere, I came back and ordered my dress. She was completely professional, never saying anything negative about the competition, but just thanking me for complimenting her service.
She also told me that if she is in town the day of my wedding, she would gladly come and get me in my dress (it has a corsetted back).
I was worried about finding a wedding dress, and expected it to be stressful. (I am under 5 feet tall and VERY pear-shaped. A difficult shape to dress in anything as it is!)
This was a very positive, very fun experience.
It was so good, that when I went to order my dress, we were able to find and order my mother's dress for the wedding. She is also a pear-shape woman under 5 feet tall, but with very classic taste. Once again, Katie worked her magic, and helped us find the perfect dress.
They charged me for new, but sold me used.. I ordered my dress from here. They ordered it 2 sizes too small, even after I requested they change it. They said they would fix it, and got me a display dress in the right size from another store and said they would alter it. When I went for the alterations, I made comments about the dress not being new, and they swore it was, but it had marks on the inside from makeup and the bodice of the dress had a strange sewing pattern from where it had previously been altered. 3 days before my wedding, I went to pick up the dress, it had not been altered, bustled or ironed. They said they had done all the work, and that I must have brought a different pair of shoes and slip. Then they wouldn't give me the dress if I didn't pay for the whole thing. At my reception, we had to safety pin the dress, so that it would stay up. I paid $850 for a new dress, and I ended up getting an unaltered used one.
Store "looks" may scare you away, but don't be deceived!!!. My Mom suggested we go here to look for a wedding dress. However, I did not want to go, b/c of the location and the "looks" of the store. I thought it was dated, and old. To make my Mom happy, I made the appt to find a wedding dress, along w/2 other shops. My salesperson was OUTSTANDING to say the least. I wound up going back a second time, and purchased my dress from here. My salesgirl was so fun, honest (brutally at times, but it's what I wanted), and she and I have become friends and have even gone out! She's coming to my bachelorette party and is even coming to help me get dressed the day of my wedding, b/c I bought a corset dress and will need help tying it up. Don't be discouraged w/the location of the shop (Hampton/City area), b/c they do have a lot of beautiful, stylish wedding gowns. My 1st day there she informed me they do not work on commission, so not to feel like I'm being pressured. They told me my dress would take up to 6 months or more....it was ready in LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!! The dressing rooms are very large (compared to 3 other places I've been since.) Upstairs they only have 2 sets of mirrors, but they are across from each other, giving you a good view of the back of the dress. And the times I was there, the most people using the mirrors were me, and one other person. And at times, I had the whole upstairs to myself!!
Don't let the outside fool you. I found this place with my cousin because we were trying to find wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses as quickly as possible. At first we were hesitant to go in, but later it was to our suprise the statff was the best help possible. We did have to make an appointment to go upstairs to try on the exclsive dresses, but it was well worth it! The girl found her her dream dress... it was the first one she tried on- it was gorgeous
