Johnny Gitto's Restaurant

Johnny Gitto's. I had been to an event that was catered by Johnny Gitto's and everyone raved about the food. It was very good and I was looking forward to visiting the restaurant. The restaurant is in dire need of a make-over. The diningroom was lit by a single ceiling fan light set with two low wattage bulbs. The other of the four bulbs was burned out with the remaining one just missing.The only other light came from three flat panel TV's. Money spent on theses would have been better spent on paint and decorations. I bet it has not been painted in decades. Then to preserve the nice cloth tablecloths there was what you could call butcher paper on top of the cloths, and those appeared to be torn from the roll, not even cut with scissors! The food was ok certainly not worth going back for. Such a shame, the restaurant is in a good location but with the lack of any decorating it is a total turn-off. A little cleaning and paint with some pictures and maybe candles on the tables would help a lot. Needless to say that ws our first and last visit. As far as customers go, it was obvious the other two couples were first timers too. Wonder if they will return?…
