A late-night crowd orders miniature burgers by the sackful at this castle-shaped Midwestern chain restaurant. The menu is short and sweet: hamburgers, cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers, with all-beef patties steam-grilled on a pile of onions and served on square white buns with pickles. Extras like bacon and jalapeno cheese are also available, as well as non-burger options like fried chicken or fish sandwiches and sides of fries, onion rings and cheese sticks.

Hamburger?. White Castle should not be on the list of best hamburgers. Anyone that has ever eaten one knows that they are not hamburgers, they are Castles. Castles are a food group of their own.

The absolute best!!!. White Castle is the pre-eminent global fast food restaurant. Where else with less than $10.00 can you sufficiently dine as a King with a few members of your court and have an enjoyable time as well.

Weird but SOOO addicting!. Moved here from the West coast so White Castle was VERY new to me - I'm hooked can't explain why just a crappy steamed tiny thing but I can't get enough!!!

Not grade A. Ok come on.. burger-king kicks the CRAP out of white castle.. I mean.. sure if your are hungry and there is NOTHING near by to eat.. it will do, but i would not even put it on this list..

Lingering. White Castles are just something you have to have once in a while. It could be a matter of aging but sometimes they stay with you longer than you would like, but it's worth the slight discomfort.

drunk and hungary?. Whities is the best late night snack around. So It's about 3 in the morning, you're hungary...where do you go? White Castle. They have the best cheese sticks around. Their food is not the best, but it's the cheapest!

It's cheap for a reason. OK, there are a lot of White Castle fanatics around here. I'm not going to flame them terribly, but they're not on my A-list. Not even for cheap fare. The grease just doesn't settle right. There's a reason even those who like their burgers call them belly bombers.
