Their reputation is well deserved and long standing.
Nothing fancy here, just good food served with a smile and served quickly. And the burgers are great.

One of the Best Burgers in St. Louis.
I can't think of anywhere else I would recommend a hearty appeatite for burgers than O'Connell's, this has great atmosphere, great service and great for get togherts for parties before and after sports activities.
I don't think there is anything that I can think of that is bad if you don't like burgers they have a wide variety of other foods just as good. soups, chile etc.

Good Food...Bad Service. The hamburgers here are fantastic, but the service leaves much to be desired. We had 2 children with us & we weren't treated well. Our waitress was rude & acted like bringing us a glass of water (having asked twice) was a serious imposition. The burgers are great though. Order takeout!!

Makes a veghead doubt. I've been a vegetarian for over six years, but everytime I go into O'Connell's my mouth waters. The burgers smell good and my meat eating friends tell me that they're great. The fried mushrooms are by far some of the best. Although fee refills on the soda would be nice.

Burger Paradice.
Nothing fancy--just the best burger for 300 miles!
Dark bar-cold beer-dark,cold beer!
The Fish & Chips on Friday nights are also superb!!
Service was very freindly, and our drinks never got close to being empty.
Who cares about value when the burgers are this good?
