MMMMMMM Nick's Pub

by SocialD

Do you like eating sticks of deep fried provel cheese while drinking cheap cold beer and listening to a guy in a soccer jersey play Social Distortion and Oasis on a guitar?

Do you like awesome wings, shuffleboard and sports on TV you didn't even know existed because they only play them in other countries?

Do you? Huh? If your answer is yes, you'll like Nick's Pub. If your answer is no, then you're obviously too hung up on other emotional or physical insecurities to relax and have fun, so it's best that you stay far away from Nick's pub.

  • Pros: Provel Sticks, Cheap Beer, Live Music Guy
  • Cons: They close at night because of "laws." Goof.

bad place if your latino

by Javo

The place looked lively and me and my girlfriend wanted to go in. When we got to the door the bouncer gave us a undermining look and when we gave him our driver's license (the driver's license are from Puerto Rico which is american territory) he said in a rude tone that it was not a valid ID and that we needed a passport and another identifying document. I explained to him that Puerto Rico is a commonwealth with the US and he simply and he simply nodded, he repeated that we would need a passport and documents and gave his back to us. This has actually been the only place in my four months of stay at St. Louis that hasn't accepted the Puerto Rico driver's license as a valid ID and it bothered me a lot that the bouncer didn't even check with the manager.

  • Pros: the bartenders are said to be friendly
  • Cons: latins are not welcome

This place rocks

by mcfalynn

I'm originally from Boston, so when i fist moved here, about two years ago, I was skeptical of the place. You see in Boston most Irish pubs are cold in the fact that if your not a regular they stare at you like you don't belong. When I walked into Nick's however, I felt very welcome and warm. The bartenders are hilarious, and very friendly.Don't get me wrong if you act like a jack@$$ they will throw you out, but if you mind your p's and q's, like a normal person should, you'll become regular in no time. They have a huge beer and liquor selection, games, pool, darts, tvs, and plenty of room. They also have a huge menu full of cheap and very delicious food. Which is odd because their kitchen looks really small.Once again, this place rocks. Hope to see you there.

  • Pros: great prices
  • Cons: no fights on tv
