You will be met at the door by a pudgy, insecure ogre; then walk into a disgustingly kept bar with sup-par food. Did I mention the outrageous weekday cover charge? AVOID AT ALL COST! lying thief female bartender. I've been to Nick's Pub many times and have always had a good time, especially with their Thursday night special. However, the last time I was there, when I got my tab back, the female bartender had added multiple drinks to it. When I told her that I had not ordered them, she told me that I yes I had. We were only there for an hour so I repeated to her exactly what the couple of drinks were that I had ordered for myself and friends. She told me that if I did not sign the receipt then she would throw me out. I still refused, thus she called a bouncer over and said that I was causing problems, so he escorted me out. I would really hope that the owner of Nick's pub reads these reviews and realizes that his lying thief bartender is going to give his bar a bad name.…

Never again. I had been there twice before a couple of years ago and was not really impressed. I ended up back there again this May with some friends. I was the DD so I can accurately remember what happened. First off, the big guy checking IDs at the front was an ass for no reason than to just be an ass. Second, I'm really not a fan of the atmosphere there. It's basically just a bunch of kids smoking and playing pool like they are in their parents basement. Third, the bartender Dorothy, as longbeach 1983 indicated, is a thief. I was with my one friend the entire time as he went up and ordered 3 drinks and 3 shots. He opened a tab and then we went up again and he got 1 drink. When he closed out his tab, there were 2 more drinks on there. This guy is a professional bar drinker and knows what he has had to drink. He asked me what he had gotten and I told him. It was what he thought and when he showed me the bill, I knew it was wrong. Dorothy had padded his tab. When approached about it, she denied it and said that is what he got. My buddy paid it just to get out of the place. I was just hopeful she really made a mistake, but after hearing someone else had the same problem, I know it was no mistake. My friend might have been drunk Dorothy, but I was not and we both know what you did. I have no doubt management is encouraging their employees to do this on customers that have had a few.…

Great Bar Bad Employees. I have been going to this bar for the better part of 3 years now. I have always enjoyed myself there because i like the building itself and i really liked their prices. The only issue that has now spilled over that i cannot take anymore is the employees. The guy who works the door is unbelievably rude. He took 10 minutes to check my non driver Missouri I.D. only to toss it at me saying "this better be real chief." the funny part is that once i got in the bar, the guy that was ahead of me in line during that debacle told me he just paid that same door guy 30 to get in because he was only 20 years old! Well done chief!

Pair that with bartenders who "accidentally" put someone elses drinks on your tab while getting your order completely wrong and it just makes for a horrible evening.…
