This place rocks – I'm originally from Boston, so when i fist moved here, about two years ago, I was skeptical of the place. You see in Boston most Irish pubs are cold in the fact that if your not a regular they stare at you like you don't belong. When I walked into Nick's however, I felt very welcome and warm. The bartenders are hilarious, and very friendly.Don't get me wrong if you act like a jack@$$ they will throw you out, but if you mind your p's and q's, like a normal person should, you'll become regular in no time. They have a huge beer and liquor selection, games, pool, darts, tvs, and plenty of room. They also have a huge menu full of cheap and very delicious food. Which is odd because their kitchen looks really small.Once again, this place rocks. Hope to see you there.
Eat here, drink elsewhere – The food is good and they have daily specials that all rock. Nobody from the city hangs out here anymore, it turned into a tourist trap for invading west county kids. The drinks are a little pricy and they serve shots in a plastic cup. How do you do an Irish Car bomb if the cup floats on top of the guiness. Also they carge you individually for the 1/2 pint of guiness and the Jameson and Baileys, making it a 12 dollar shot. They've done a good job ailenating their regular customers who now go elsewhere.
Perfect corner bar – Nick's is the perfect place to hang with friends. Whether you are sitting in the main bar, playing pool upstairs, or enjoying the weather on the pation outside, the atmosphere is perfect. I have been coming to Nick's for seven or eight years after trying the wings. Best wings around, with-out question.
Great Hangout – A great place to hang out with friends and meet new people.
Causal and Fun – I love Nick's. I first went there two years ago with some friends and fell in love with the place. The Happy Hour specials are a great deal! The game (baseball, hockey, or football) is always on so you can keep up with the home team. I don't feel like I have to get "dressed up" to enjoy a drink there with pals either. It's a very causual, laid back place. There is ample outdoor seating as well, so you can enjoy a nice evening outside. The food is awesome as well. While the lot behind Nick's is small, there is plenty of parking across the street.
