Tips for Hacienda

This used to be the best place to go for great food and Margarita`s not anymore !! They still have great atmosphere and I love the patio ! Top shelf Margarita is very good . All of the food and appetizers we ordered were horrible and had no taste ! I got a 1/2 of a red , white and blue salad they even messed that up , the lettuce was wilted and drenched in oil , one of my friends got the steak burrito she said it was awful she could not even eat it ! We did have a great Waitress Katie 21 she offered to replace it and always was checking on us great service by her . I hope Hacienda decides to read some of these reviews before they are another restaurant that goes under !! Hire some good cooks !!!!!!

Disappointed. Drove a half hour after checking their web site only to find that they decided to stop serving customers early.

Horrible service, Terrible food. My wife and I went on Saturday around 5:00. It's been years since we had been there and were hoping to have an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately that was not the case. We started with the quesadilla appetizer. The server brought it to our table without any plates to eat with. When our waiter came by we told him the server didn't bring us plates. The server then returned and aggressively Dropped the plates on our table and said"I didn't think you wanted plates" and walked away.

So then we ordered our meal which was steak fajitas. Another server came and brought the fajitas and said be careful the plate is hot. Well the plate wasn't hot at all and neither was the steak or the tortillas. Usually when fahitas are brought out there is smoke/steam coming from the plate. When our waiter came by again, he asked how the food is we told him it was cold . He shook his head took the dish and walked away . Within minutes he was back with a hot dish. Obviously they didn't make a new fresh meal. We found this to be very unsatisfactory. We were expecting a nice evening at an old favorite restaurant but found ourselves in disbelief that this was what we paid for.

Very disappointing. Many years ago I ate at the Hacienda in Overland, MO. This Hacienda is is nothing like the one that was in Overland. The server was very prompt and courteous, but she could not overcome the mediocre food. We would have been better off to go to a neighborhood Mexican restaurant than drive so far out of our way for substandard food. The food is ok, it just isn't that good for the price you are paying.

The Hacienda RULES in St. Louis!. Don't blame Hacienda for your parking tow. The neighboring businesses are the ones who tow away cars who illegally park on their lots. Hacienda posts clear warning signs not to park on other lots, but some idiots continue to do so.

Going to the Hacienda is a special treat (great for girls' night out). The food is mouth watering and the restaurant is beautiful. The outdoor patio is expecially pleasant and relaxing.

worlds worst restaurant. we we were there a week ago and we were seated waiting for our third person in our party and the manager mark came up and made us leave our table after we had been seated for 20 mins b/c our party wasnt there, how rude is that he told we had to leave the table and we could wait in the bar if we like we left we were so mad we will never go back and will tell our friends or any one to never go back to bad to lose a place to eat after going there for so many years i can find just as good of food somewhere else.

You think what you want to think. I looked at the parking and that had additional parking and I said wow lots of parking okay. The food portion was huge at least for me it filled me up. I had enough food to feed another person. I ate a dinner time. I didn't eat on the patio but the patio looked wonderful lots of tables, I ate inside and there were much room looked clean inside. The service was great. We had 15 ladies at our table a big group. She made sure I had plenty of water all the time.. good service I do say so. When I have plenty of water I am satisfy. She was very friendly. So yes I would recommend this place to my family or friends but see this is my opinion and my opinion only. You have to go and try this place to have your own opinion about this place. Cause I read the opinion about this place before I went and it was so poor rated that if it wasn't cause I was meeting someone I wouldn't have gone. I am glad I went now. You have to try for yourself and make your own decision sometimes. Cause see mine is different. I saw thing differently. Amen!!!!!!

Not a good place to eat. This place is so overrated. Its nice to sit on the patio in the summer..but other than that...the food is blah...drinsk are expensive and small. The worst part is the manager!!! She made it a point to harrass and glare at us b/c we were seated before our whole party had arrived...umm. not our fault that happened. She actually came over to our table and lectured us. When we asked the waiter about what her deal was he told us that she was even worse with the staff. I dont think thats right...so I will not be going there again. Out of the dozen times Ive been there I havent really been impressed!

Authentic fixings and a breezy patio are the star attractions at this affordable Mexican restaurant.. In Short
The large indoor dining room is a bit run down, but diners don't seem to notice as they gulp their mango margaritas. Service is detached but adequate. The large menu contains stock versions of Mexican favorites, such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas and enchiladas, Americanized with more meat and cheese and fewer vegetables. However, most items--including fabulous fresh guacamole--are made with authentic ingredients.

If you can't sit outside keep on driving.. We come here a lot I love the outside sitting when the weather is nice. Well the night we went for a work happy hour it was VERY hot. We decided to sit inside - boring!! The service was horrible. We had to ask for menus several times, we had to ask for drinks, for her to take our plates / glasses away.
