Don't go for the food. This place is all-looks and nothing to back it up. Sure, the atmosphere is nice and politcally-charged, making for fun conversation...but the food is lackluster at best. I've been here on two seperate ocassions. The first time, I had a standard veggie burger. When it came out, it looked pathetic. There was nothing but patty and bun....not even lettuce and tomato! To make matters worse, the patty was burnt. It was probably the worst veggie burger I've ever had. My second time there, I went for the Falafel wrap, minus sour cream, and my partner ordered the hummus. Now, the hummus was good. The pita bread was perfect and the feta cheese was a nice addition. The falafel, though....was not only "eh" tasting (the falafel ball was VERY dry), but nearly impossible to eat. I would recommend they just crumble falafel patties into the wrap to make it easier to work with. I had to chase the falafel ball all over my plate every time I tried to take a bite. I did have a cup of coffee with a shot of chocolate syrup. That was a great cup of coffee, I must say.

This place should stick to coffee and decoration. For food, eat before your arrival, or munch on something simple, like the hummus.

I should also mention just how impossible it is to secure seating inside anytime in the evening or night. Laptops take up every table.

Great outdoor dining. On a nice day, this is the place to dine. One of Mokabe's greatest features is the scenery of Tower Grove Park across the street. Everyone is welcome and treated with respect. Sometimes the place is crowded with friendly people and you need to come early to park close by the place. Due to the nature of cook and serve to order, the wait can be a bit long. The crowds,parking and wait are well worth the trip from anywhere in the Universe. Yes, even aliens are welcome here!!!!
