Our regular hangout. My best friends and I have been going to Peppers at least once a week for the last several months. It's lowkey enough where it's no surprise to have someone buy a round for the entire bar :). The bartenders are all very friendly and they have a surprisingly big menu. We can't wait for it to get a little warmer so we can spend time on the new patio.
Good neighborhood place..
uwishuwer's review is for the wrong place. "The Pepper Lounge" is an upscale dance club full of wannabee's at the western edge of downtown. That's the place he/she is talking about.
This Pepper's is a neighborhood bar in South City.
Posh and uppity. This place is very nice looking inside, with free valet parking. Red-hued lighting illuminates exposed brick and upholstered booths. An older and more sedate crowd populates the lounge area until 11:00, when the dance floor opens. Deference is paid to the swarm of Paris Hilton wannabes in terms of desirable seating and early entry to the dance floor. No one actually danced on a Friday night between 11 and 12:30. The DJ spun 80's remixes as well as popular tunes, and the music grew louder and the lights dimmer the later it got. In all, the ambience wasn't bad, but the patrons were mostly very young, wealthy-looking college kids that were probably using Daddy's credit card to pay for that nine dollar mixed drink. I prefer a place with a little older crowd that 'keeps it real'
What a great place.... What a great place to enjoy an evening. Pepper's is truly a place to go if you want a nice evening of just relaxing and watching a game. The value is great and the people are so friendly. Best value in town.
