Broken Glasses, fast service. My glasses broke a few days ago and I went to lenscrafters for the first time, knowing they were the ones who made glasses so fast. A few good surprises, for one hour service the quality was incredibly good -I was worried the faster it took, that would effect it, but no. Also, professional staff. Knew what they were doing, friendly, etc.

As for the last review, I can attest to it myself that buying a new frames and lenses is surprisingly cheaper with AAA than just getting a frame (as I originally planned) So I ended up saving some there too. Hopefully now I won't break this pair of glasses,

TO AVOID - pressure to sell you what you dont need. I had the same experience as other reviewers. I came in to have new lenses fitted to my frame. From then on they started their maneuvers to sell me a new frame instead. They claimed it would be 'difficult' to fit new lenses on this frame, the frame might break, etc. They even dragged their technician out of the lab to say that too. They also claimed that my AAA discount would be cut by half if I only got lenses!!!

I went to Pearlvision next to Target: Two hours later I had my new lenses fit in the old frame.

These people are obviously told by management to push as hard as possible to sell frames (higher profit) rather than just lenses.

But the lies are a bit much!

Lens Crafters: Not Recommended. I went to Lens Crafters at Galleria recently to get a prescription filled,

I wanted to use my old frames, which are titanium

and quite serviceable. There was considerable pressure

from the sales woman

to buy new frames, much talk about frames being

on sale, ending in her refusing

to fill the prescription unless I bought new frames.

The reasons she gave didn't add up, e.g. the screws

are stripped (they're not), the frames are too corroded

(they're not). I've had new lenses in these frames before,

no problem. Upon leaving Lens Crafters I went to another

optical shop which fitted new lenses on the frames,

The optician assured me the frames are fine. Neither he

nor I could find any problem with them.

I don't like high-pressure business practices, especially

not in health-related services.
