The Scene
Whether you're a gentleman wooing a lover, a businessperson entertaining a client or just an appreciative gourmand, Harvest is one indulgence you shouldn't miss. Harvest's natty decor parallels its innovative cuisine. If you can take your eyes off the restaurant's good-looking patrons, the focal point of the room is a magnificent fireplace.

The Food
Executive chef Steve Gontram, who hails from Wolfgang Puck's Postrio, is all about flavor. He calls his culinary style "rustic American," and his dishes feature regional ingredients like Hudson Valley foie gras, Maytag blue cheese and Ozark ham. The seasonal menu at Harvest comprises updated classic dishes that highlight complex, vibrant flavors. Gontram prefers to let the radiant flavors of the food shine through by seasoning it merely with salt, freshly ground pepper and olive oil.

Went on a jam-packed Saturday and had great service and food. Spring Menu is great. Enjoyed the smoked New York Strip and had the Bread Pudding (of course) for dessert. Great Wine List. I always recommend Harvest to others visiting St. Louis. By the looks of their business, I am in good company.

Pros: Chef works the dining room and checks in on you
