The Skinny
Any good parent, teacher or employer knows it's not a good idea to show favoritism toward one individual over others in a group. But knowing better doesn't prevent it from happening. Even if the group as a whole is outstanding, it's still only natural to pick a favorite. There's a lot to like about the Clayton Row antique shops along the 7700 and 7800 blocks of Clayton Road--M.J. Consignment, Regent Parade, Designing Block, Shaker Tree, Finches--but Davis Place is the cream of the crop.
The Goods
Davis Place deals in fine crystal, paintings, furniture and silver, and it's temporarily home--until just the right owner comes along--to a stuffed adult baboon that would do Madame Blavatsky proud. Don't miss the cases: There are only a few, but they're full of small treasures of all sorts.
