Clayton >Spectrum Hair Design
Frank is wonderful, I did not have to give too much instruction, he just knows what he is doing. Great color & cut, and not overpriced. This is one of the best kept secrets in ST. LOUIS, tucked away in a great neighborhood (DeMun), been to alot of salons in recent years, Boston, NYC, and trust me Frank is just as good, if not better. Great conversation as well, thank you Frank.
I'm Impressed!. I had been using the same stylist for several years and I was relatively satisfied but wasn't exactly in love with my hair. A friend insisted that I call up Frank to see what he could do. Frank was AMAZING, and I'm now a convert. I drive 30 miles just to have him cut my hair because he's fantastic! Frank really helps you look your best.
great cut.. Inez will give you a great cut. She is especially trained in the Curley Girl, Devashan Techniques, uses and has their products for sale. It is a lovely place, sun-filled, nice music. The cut will last and look good as it grows in nicely. Her gift for artistry is her talent and training. What more could one want! : )
Best curly cut I've ever had!.
I had my hair cut at Spectrum yesterday by Inez. It is by far the BEST curly cut I've ever had in my life! She also did color and highlights and it all looks great!
They were able to get me in quickly after my initial call. Inez was warm, friendly, and listened closely to what I wanted (and didn't want). Then she got to work. She clearly knows exactly what she's doing with curly hair, and she explained everything step-by-step so I knew what she was doing and why. She also showed me styling techniques and when I fixed my hair this this morning it looks as great as it did when she did it! It's the cut that makes the difference. She cut it just right so my curls spring to life without any muss or fuss. The price was extremely fair for the top-notch color and cut. If you have curly hair, you know what a really good cut is worth.
If you are a curly girl (or boy!) I definitely recommend Spectrum Hair Design. I won't be going anywhere else!
Best haircut ever!. I have thick, wavy hair that can be difficult to cut well. But I got the best haircut I've ever gotten from Inez at Spectrum. It was so good, in fact, that I haven't needed to go back for a trim for three months because the style continues to look great.
Shhh! Frank is the best kept secret in STL!!.
I have been going to Frank for about 7 years now, and he never disappoints! When I first moved to St. Louis, I went to a really lux salon in Clayton and got butchered. The stylist who butchered me even had the never to tell me I had bad hair. Luckily, I stumbled onto Spectrum. I called to ask their rates - which are reasonable - and thought, "What do I have to lose?". Turns out I had a great stylist to gain! Before I could tell Frank how much i hated my hairstyle, he said, "This is the wrong cut for your hair thickness and your face shape." He then told me how he was going to fix it without taking off a lot of length. He is a genius! I have sent him my roommates, friends, coworkers, and even my boss. They all love him, too.
Tip for curly girls - like me. I wear my hair straight almost everyday, so Frank cuts it to look good straight. Plus, he does a great blowout! However, if you love your curls and want them to really shine, Annie V. is your stylist at Spectrum. I went to her one when Frank was on vacation and she gave me some great advice to tame my frizz when I do wear my curls. As a curly girl herself, she knows what she's talking about!
I had the best hair cut ever!. I'm from New York and I've have paid over one hundred dollars for this type of hair cut and service. I was made to feel at home and given the best consultation. The owner Frank is very talented and so friendly. I left with a great haircut and the best eyebrow wax from a staff member, she was also a make-up artist. I'm planning on bringing my friends from New York to this well kept St. Louis secret.
