My Family and I often eat there at least 2 times a month. They do have it sorta sectioned off for smoking but not really. Its a small restaurant, and if you go on hot nights you could be waiting a very long time. They only have a few high chairs and booster seats so if there are a lot of kids already there good chances are you wont be receiving one. The prices are great and affordable which is the main reason we keep coming back, that and the wonderful cheese dip!

El Mauey is really good. My family loves mexican food anyway and we try to get a taste of different ones and this place is on the top of the list! We go to the chippewa location and they have great service there! Try it out!

I have been going to El Maguey since I was a baby.. starting out at the one in Columbia, MO and now various ones in St. Louis, especially the Chippewa one. My family and I have always loved it. Their food is great, and we've never had bad service. They have larger portions and are very fast. Even in large groups, we've never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Which is considerablly less then anywhere else we have tried to eat. Their prices are also very reasonable. My mom and I can go for lunch OR dinner (with sodas, tax, and tip included) and spend no more than $20-25. I recommend it if you enjoy good food, nice people, and a fun enviorment.
