WONDERUL EVENING - time & time again!. Our family has enjoyed Sam's Steakhouse for well over 10 years. We've celebrated graduations, anniversaries and just stopping in for drinks as well. The food is ALWAYS prepared as ordered. Our meal is never rushed and our service is polite, professional and never over-bearing. But my favorite time of year for a night out at Sam's is NOW! The Christmas decorations are beautiful! Just last weekend we enjoyed steak, wine & friends. Moved into the bar afterwards and really enjoyed the piano bar and ambiance there, too! GREAT NIGHT ALL AROUND!

EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE - WHERE YOU ARE ACTUALLY APPRECIATED. One of the worst dining experiences to date. The ball was dropped multiple times with not a single staff member eager or even willing to attempt to pick it up. No one seemed to be in charge and no one seemed to care. No one asked me how my food was (which came on a cold dirty plate) and I was never offered a second (or third) glass of wine because the cocky waiter was too busy on his i-phone. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - ANYWHERE else - where the staff will actually appreciate the fact you are there. This place is in need of a paradigm shift before they go out of business. It was slow and my bet is it will continue until no one is there!

Wonderful Service. I just want to say we had WONDERFUL service with Greg. I am a little picky with my steak...I like it medium well with barely any pink and both steaks were red (even my husband said they were red whom is NOT picky at all) I think what will bring us back is the wonderful service with Greg. Greg did comp our steak and profusely apologized. I would definitely come back because of greg

Wonderful Evening. My wife and I came here for our 10th anniversary. (What an excellent decision on my part she loved it!) We had a reservation and were immediately seated. Our server greeted us with a warm welcome and told my wife about a pineapple infused vodka martini they make in house, she loved it. We tried the Shrimp Louisiana as our first course and almost ordered a second! My wife had the steak modeiga which she absolutely loved. I had the pepper filet and aside from it being slightly overcooked (i ordered medium rare) it was the best steak I have ever had. I highly suggest Sam's to everyone looking for a great meal. The service was great and the General Manager Jason took excellent care to ensure our dinner was nothing less than perfect. Thank you Sam's and thank you Jason!

Best in St. Louis. I have gone here for over 7 years frequently and have the same great experience every time. Best service and filet in St. Louis. Highly recommended to all and better than Citizen Kane's.

Sam's is top notch-a must!. Sam's Steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The decor in the lounge makes you feel like you are in a Chicago steak house from the early 1900's, the waiters come to your table dressed all in black and their service is hands down the BEST in the city. If you are an out-of-towner it's a must and if you live in the city it is the perfect place to impress a client or take a date. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were the best I've ever had! I had the Prime Rib served Sam's style and I definitely recommend it! My wife had the peppercorn-encrusted filet and said she hadn't had a better steak! Sam's is top notch--a must!

I recommend this steakhouse to anyone who can appreciate an extraordinary steak!. My husband and I love trying new restaraunts, and cannot believe we haven't found Sam's sooner! We just happened to drive by and read on the sign "Walk-ins Welcome," which could not have been more true. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Joseppie (sp?) was fantastic! He recommended a fabulous wine to pair with our exceptional dinner! The filet and shrimp was so delectable I saved half to bring home for my family to try! My new favorite dessert: the turtle cheesecake; absolutely phenomenal! Everything was above and beyond our expectations!

Still the best steakhouse in 2 states. We are St. Louis natives who moved to Nashville 2 year ago - I have yet to find a steak or steak restaurant that compares with Sam's. Sure they have Mortons, Flemings and all the high priced joints, but for a down home good ol' steak house we still come home to eat a Sam's for special occasions.

They have raised their prices the last couple of years and that is unfortunate - but still good when compared to the national chains.

Plan to continue to celebrate there whenever the occasion arises.

Rude treatment. Attached is a gift certificate in the amount of $75 which was given to me and my wife several months ago by a good friend of ours.

We attempted to use it on December 19th to entertain a member of the St. Louis Catholic clergy but, in light of the curtness expressed by your wife when we arrived, we and the priest decided to go elsewhere, and at that steakhouse, we got in immediately and were not told that we must wait for 30 minutes " like you have to do in a doctors office even though you have a reservation".

The gift certificate is of no use to us and I would not give it any of my acquaintances for fear they would receive the same rude treatment we received.

It is my guess you may not be in business too much longer because no business can survive when it handles its customers as we were handled. Even though your wife called me and apologized, I just want you to know this incident will be relayed to everyone in our St. Louis email address book (about 100 people) via the internet.
