Needs Updating. The hotel staff was excellent. Very nice and accommidating. There were signs saying they were in the middle of a renevation but saw no signs of work being done. It is in great need of a face lift. Carpet was bubbled and creased going down the hallways. Some of the hallways smelled horribally like smoke. There are two sets of elevators, one set off of the lobby was extremely hot and my kids thought was quite scary.

Our room was a nice room and smelled good. The bathroom needs one of those curved shower curtin holders. The shower was too inclosed. I'm sure it will be alot nicer once renovations are complete.

It was nice to have an outside pool and a heated inside pool with a hot tub. The hot tub was huge, but the water was the same temperature as the heated indoor pool. The room with the inside pool and hot tub were very hot and humid, To many chemicals were being used. The hot tub actully turned my royal blue swimming suit a nasty taupe color.

There is NO FREE Breakfast, but they gave me a 50% off coupon. We chose not to eat there.

There is a restaurant on the corner of the hotel called Mile 277. This is like going to a Hooters. (My husband enjoyed the view.) The food was very good.

The hotel seemed to be about a 15 minute drive to about everything we wanted to see, so it seemed to be centrally located.

We would be willing to stay at this hotel again, but only after the renovation is complete. Hopefully some of the issues will be taken care of.

For more than 50 years, this hotel's familiar green sign has signaled budget-friendly lodging for families and business travelers.. In Short
Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.
