Most over-rated restaurant in Saint Louis – I went there with a large group at a time when the restaurant was at about 25% capacity. I was there for 2 hours and had already watched all the other people in my group finish their meals (some for over 40 minutes) when I told the waitress to not charge us for my food order since they didn't bring it. 15 minutes later and after an absurd discussion with the manager, she brought out my food and told me I was required to pay for it since she brought it out. I didn't pay for it and I'll never go back. It was an off-putting experience. The ridiculously poor service and aggressively rude behavior from the waitress and manager felt like a violation. Very Upsetting Experience

Bad Customer and Food Service – A few of my friends and myself stopped by Blueberry Hill located in the St. Louis Loop on Monday night. My friend received cold coffee. Keep in mind that it was a very cold night. She also ordered pancakes and bacon. I ordered pancakes, bacon and milk. She sent her coffee back twice and it was still cold. The waiter wasn't attentive and very forgetful. Another friend ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks and the cheese was not melted. The cheese was stiff. Another friend ordered the toasted ravioli and that wasn't hot. The only thing my friends appreciated was the bowl of chili. My pancakes were so cold that my butter wouldn't even melt. I had already put the butter and syrup on the pancakes. Our pancakes, bacon, and the coffee got sent back, but returned cold. We were fed up, so we spoke with the manager. He was soooooo unprofessional. He just kept arguing with us and would not accept that the food was horrible. We decided that we would leave. So, he took off some of the food, but left other things on the bill. I vow never to dine there again.

hard drinks for men and women WITH atmosphere – Best place to drink in St. Louis. Every time I go to Blueberry Hill, no matter if I am alone or with a group, or if it’s before noon, or late in the evening, I have a dazzling time. Always interesting people to talk to hanging out at the bar, including the bartenders. After my first strong drink ever at Blueberry Hill (which was a free shot on my 21st birthday) I have found it near impossible to find another establishment that matches Blueberry Hill’s disregard for conventional liquor to mixer ratios.

Great food! Even better atmosphere! – Last Friday was definitely one of the best restaurant experiences my wife and i have had in a very long time. To start off, i would like to say that one of our favorite past times is to frequent many of the amazing restaurants in the Saint Louis area. Right now i would like to talk about one of my favorite simple yet satisfying restaurants, Blueberrry Hill. We started our experience by sitting at the bar because like everybody knows, this place is usually very busy in the restaurant area even though the wait was not terribly long. We started of with a few drinks which to our understanding of great pours were very satisfying. My wife had the famous burger with the goat cheese which i was very surprised that they had and i tried the new pulled pork sandwich which i was told from the bartender that it was a new item. The food came out substantially fast or at least i thought it came out fast because of the great conversations that my wife and I were having with the bartenders. The burger and pulled pork sandwich were both AMAZING! To finish off our day at the we had a few beers and to my understanding Blueberry Hill has the best beer selection in the greater loop area which I definitely agree. I look forward to my next visit there and I hope that all of you try out this restaurant sometime.

Terrible Service! Possible Discrimination. – Before I start, let me just say, I actually LOVE BlueberryHill and have been going for years, but this is one crazy story about a terrible waitress that ruined it for me.

Me and my family visited the restaurant on Saturday September 11th 2010. We waited 20 mins for a table which was expected because of dinner rush. Once we sat ourselves, the table was dirty. It then took 20 mins for a server to greet us. It took another 20 mins to receive our beverages, which were terribly watered down. It took another 15 mins to order our food. After an additional 30 mins of waiting, it became chilly and we asked could we be set inside. After being seated inside, and another 20 min wait, we decided to leave. Our new waitress, Diane, approached us and rudely asked, “What are you doing?” I advised her we were leaving because we didn’t get our food and have been there almost 2 hours. She rudely said “Well you need to sit down and wait.” I replied, “No, We left the money for our drinks on the table, we are leaving.” She became even more aggressive, got in my face and continued to argue with me, saying “I don’t know what you need to pay for so wait!” “I have other things I need to do then I will check on your order,” and ECT. She was so loud that other customers and kitchen staff started to watch the events. After about a 3 minute exchange from the rude waitress, as she stood in my way blocking me from leaving, she yells “Fu#* you! You are banned! Get out.” I replied, “Well let me speak with the manager.” Diane replied “I am the general manager, now get the hell out!” I was appalled that the General Manager of a restaurant I spend money with, and frequent often, and have since I was a kid treated me in such a manor. I don’t think I have ever been talked to by anyone like that in my life. Furthermore, I wasn’t rude with Diane until well into the dispute. When Diane first asked what we were doing, she obviously had a bad attitude. We didn’t skip out on any check or disrespect the establishment in anyway. We actually over paid for our beverages. I have never had a bad experience at Blueberry Hill, but this was the worst I have had dealing with any business. If Diane truly is the General Manager, she needs to develop herself more as a manager and a person in general. There was no reason for that kind of talk or behavior, especially towards a loyal paying customer. I don’t want to pin this as a discrimination thing, but I am African American, and people of the same race that I have told this story to say they have been treated in similar, but less dramatic ways at Blue Berry Hill and other restaurants in the University City Loop area.

Great Pub, Great Drinks, Great Pub-Food, Great fun! – Blueberry hill is great! It's a true "pup" type feeling.

Beer selection is great and i think they pour the strongest drinks in town. The staff is fun and laid back, something i really love, i don't want dumbly smiling 17 yr olds all over me from start to finish (if you DO there are plenty of applebees out there)

Food is good for pup style food, which is to say it's good but basic, Example= Their burgers are super great! but basic (if you want a *NEW* texas/ranch/chipotla/whatever burger again, there's always applebees) and lots of good fried stuff to chow on, they actually have veggie/vegan stuff to but what? you dont want that in a pub.

Also the place is HUGE, Big dart room, pinball machines... just great.

Go for a drink---food is well below average – 4 of us went for lunch after a movie--I was SO excited because I had heard of Blueberry Hill for years and finally I was going to eat here. Although I expected "touristy" quality I didn't expect the truly poor quality of everything we were served: coffee was barely lukewarm-we all had to send it back; my food was poorly prepared but at least it was hot. 2 people at the table were served COLD food & returned their dishes to the kitchen. When they got their food back, my friend's dish was STILL cold - apparently the cook forgot to at least reheat it. The waitress was overwhelmed but still-- she was SO rude that we didn't leave a tip: a personal first for me. (I normally tip 25%)

My advice would be to head for the bar, have a drink and just enjoy being in this well known place. Don't eat a meal here.

Atmosphere A+, Food C- – The inside of Blueberry Hill is a true mark from the past. From the many awards, darts, and memorabilia leave it something to awe.

2 things:

--The food is sub-par...MANY better places to eat in The Loop

--The steel-tip darts and beer selection is incredible!

If your looking for somewhere hip to hang and throw darts than Blueberry Hill is a must.

Burgers & Fries – I, like most St. Louisans, LOVE Blueberry Hill. It's located in the trendy Delmar Loop area and is a great place to grab a bite. The burgers are INCREDIBLE... you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. Anywhere. Take time while you're there to check out all the Chuck Berry, Cardinals, Simpsons, and other random memorabilia all over the walls and in display cases.

stop here – if your in the area and looking for a great place to eat, especially on a weekend afternoon, stop at this place i love that the servers are all individuals, their attire doesn't match, but you still know who is an employee or not. Food is awesome, its pretty average but really good. i dont' have a single complaint against this place
