Cicero's legacy stretches back two decades; its basement was the premier rock club in the '80s and mid-'90s, when it occupied a space in the heart of the hip University City Loop. A few years back, though, it was forced to move two blocks west and dumped a lot of money into a fresh space. When the dust settled, the spic-and-span new club area was a 180-degree flip from the dark and dank basement.
The Food
Pizza is premier here, but standard pasta dishes, tortellini, spaghetti, fettucine, are also popular. The seafood salad is a good bet.

I have NEVER in my life been treated more like an animal than at Cicero's. Not only did our waitress pointedly ignore us on several occassions, but our food took over 2 hours to get to our table and the restaurant was barely half full. The pizza was decent but definetly not worth a 2 hour wait and being treated like gum under a table.

Cicero's is a great place for you and a few friends to sample a huge beer selection, while enjoying some decent cuisine. Ask your server about beers that match your preferences. I would discourage large groups (8+).

I've enjoyed my meal every time I've been here, I just haven't been overwhelmed by it. The food arrives quickly, and there seems to be lots of stuff going on. A big college hang-out in the Delmar Loop.
