Grassi's Still Open and good as ever. Grassi's is definetly still open.. I had lunch there again yesterday and the food was as good as ever...

The space next to Grassi's has closed and is for lease.. Grassi's is going no where..

What happened to Grassi's West? Did they close?. A sign on the door said Grassi's West is closed to the public, and there is a "for lease" sign. Does anyone know what is going on there? Say it aint so! True, the place is not an architectural gem, but I love the neighborhood feel, the salad, the roast beef, the salsiccia and most of all, the lasagna!

FILTHY BUILDING AND Overpriced CRAPPY FOOD!. The afternoon started with me bragging about Grassi's being so wonderful! We walked in and I immediately noticed it was not the same place I had visited years before. We found a table and were the only people in the place. The employees were sitting at a table on their cell phones. We ordered a chicken sandwich called the Becky/Debbie, a roast beef sandwich and two salads. The nearly RAW beef was pulled from a fridge, pre-sliced on a plastic plate covered in plastic rap, then dipped in au jus and stacked on a bun. The sandwich was NOT HOT, nor was I offered the option of cheese. The chicken sandwich was even worse, the breading tasted like the bottom of the deep fryer, there was less than 1 slice of white cheese cut into tiny pieces and placed on the bun, hidden under red sauce. With drinks and fries this was a $30 meal, but not worth it by ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION! I went to the restroom after boxing the food NEITHER of us enjoyed (for our dog) and I was disgusted, it was extremely dirty and after the dirty restaurant, poor tasting, disappointing food and FILTHY bathroom I vomited. It was VERY obvious men had used the women's toilet as there was urine on the back of the seat and the inside of the toilet was filthy. That bathroom needed to be blown up with dynamite! I left the restroom, noticed the kitchen dish area to the right, the floor was strewn with filthy food all over, and looked even worse than the filthy carpeted area where all the tables and seating are. I would NOT recommend this place to a DOG !!! VITO AND CARLA should be ashamed and if they still own it, they need to CLOSE THIS DUMP FOREVER - Filth, cold food, lazy young staff that didn't care if the place was filthy, the CELL phones were priority!!! As we left, we even noted how dirty the steps from the seating area to the entry hall were, the front window of the place was covered in hand prints, and there were cob webs to the right of the entryway.. NASTY = GRASSI'S and it's staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!

Great Food. I had the Roast Beef with a side of fries. It was delicious and very affordable. Nice atmosphere and Great Service... Will eat here again the next time in in the St. Louis area...

Great Salad. This salad saved my life. I had just had major surgery. Nothing tasted good at all. After a couple days, someone brought me a Grassi's salad. The next day I was dancing in my hospital room.

The staff could not be any nicer...........the food is always fresh. It's not about the atmosphere here......it's all about the food and service.
