Never go to comfort shoe specialists

I went to comfort shoe as per my doctor recommendation for shoes. they did not have what I wanted in my size. so they ordered a $350.00 pair of shoes that I later found on line from the manufacturer for $295.00. when the shoes came in they were too small. when I complained the owner, rude woman, came out and offered to stretch them, but they were too short. so when I asked for my money back, she said no refunds and only an in store credit, and on top of it she charged my credit card a $70.00 restocking fee. Why would anyone charge a restocking fee if they did not even have it in stock? That is the rudest palce I have ever been in.

Avoid this place

My Orthopedic Dr. recommended this place because my insurance covers orthotics. When I got there and ask about insurance approval the owner (I assumed) came out with a disrespectful attitude in front of the other customers telling me she will not take discounts from insurance. I was in military uniform , so much for supporting our Soldiers. I should have walked away but instead insisted that she submit the application an the insurance does not pay what she is asking then no harm done. I even fill in almost all the information. They finally agree and started a file for me, to my surprise they charged me 30 dollars, and the insurance did not reimburse me that because they should not charged me for getting initial information. After the insurance approved all but 4 dollars the orthotics were made. Their product was far more expensive to my insurance than my last pair, and the quality is horrible, they look like my 6 year old made them at school.

Phenomenal, knowledgeable staff and wonderful shopping experience.

Did have to wait because I didn't have an appointment, but it was well worth it. My feet feel great now! I have suffered for years and not a single doctor told me it could be my shoes. Wow!

• Pros: Staff was most knowledgeable of any place ever shopped and I have shopped the US looking for solutions.
• Cons: Tough return policy so make sure your purchases are for keeps. These people are professionals so I understood why they charge for fitting...they're serious about what they do.
