LOVED Enchanted Bride! They made my dreams a reality. To put it briefly... I wanted to wear my grandmother's beautiful 47 year old wedding gown, but it was not able to be cleaned. Winnie, Beth, & the team sold us a gorgeous pure silk A-line gown, altered it to remove all embellishments, cut my grandmother's original glass beading and lace, and hand sewed it onto the new silk gown. They are super creative, accommodating, etc. They will put on the whole "bridal" show for you-- fresh drinks, music, heated rooms, etc. but are also very real. We loved working with them and cannot imagine any other vendor who could have made our dream so true.
Very Rude! Wasted my time! – I will never go to this store. I have been calling shops trying to locate some specific Bari Jay dress styles and every shop I called offered the information I needed when I called or through email. None had any problem with my request. When I called Enchanted Bride, the woman had me repeat the 7 dress styles twice and told me to hold on so she could look up the dresses. I waited about five minutes before she got back on the phone. When she came back she told me she couldn't look up all the style numbers for me because--as she said--"we lose track of all these styles". She ignored my intial request after making we wait all that time for simple information and tried getting me to make an appointment. I asked if she could let me know if she had any of the styles I am searching for and she wouldn't give me any information. If I wanted to just go to a shop to look at their selection, I'd do that. I am on a search for specific styles and nothing else, so I'm not going to drive 30-40 minutes to find out they have nothing I'm looking for. So she tried again to give me directions to the shop and set up an appointment. I told her I wasn't going to waste time with the shop if they weren't going to give me any information. She said "okay thank you".
From my experience in retail, this is a simple request and any store no matter how "high and mighty" should be able to give out simple information about some dress styles.
I would never recommend this shop to anyone!!!
I had the best experience ordering my bridal gown and setting up my bridesmaid dress order at Bridal Connections in Florissant! Both of my sisters-in-law and four of my friends have gone to that shop! If you want a great place to shop with friendly service without pushing you into buying your dream dress (like I did!)...I would highly recommend Bridal Connections! :)
Very rude and snobbish sales people – I have never encountered more rude, unhelpful, almost hostile sales people in any retail shop. I went in initially to look at a $1300 evening dress. In this economy, you would think they would be interested and at least a bit helpful. I was treated with blatent disrespect and I would never do business with this firm
Bad Service, Rude Salespeople – I called to request an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses with two of my bridesmaids. They first demanded to know why I wasn't including a full bridal consultation, then said they reserved appointments for bridal appointments only. I was left stuttering that we wouldn't need much attention and that I'm only in the preliminary stages of planning (my wedding is over 1 year away) and thus only looking at bridesmaid dresses. She replied she could give me some minimal time the next day, instead of inquiring into my availability. I told her I was no longer interested in coming in. Rather silly, confused salespeople... this is St. Louis, not LA, and there are much nicer boutiques here with much nicer sales people. Kindly get over yourself.
Wonderful salespeople! – Just got married in May of '08 and my experience with these ladies up to my wedding day was amazing! They really helped me pick out some gorgeous gowns and I rec'd nothing but compliments on my dress(of course on the wedding day) but even as people look at pictures. Kay-was a delight to work with, she knew exactly what would work for my body type. I thought I wanted a long ball gowny dress, tried one on to prove her wrong that I did look good in ball gowny dresses. WRONG! She was right, and insisted that I try on dresses with the mermaid fitting-it fit like a glove! I would highly recommend anybody to go to Enchanted Bride. Prices are reasonable, service is exceptional. I was even sad when I picked up my dress the day before the wedding bc I knew I wouldn't be seeing them as often. Great job ladies!
Worse than "church lady" – I found a beautiful dress but not until I asked if the owner was there. The sales lady was horrible, she said they did not have a dress within my budget (under $700). I did not get excellent service until the owner came back and talked with me.
Excellent experience!!! – After over a month of trying numerous stores in the area, the Enchanted Bride was by far the best place I went wedding dress shopping. They were so welcoming. You feel an instant sense of warmth and comfort, which is enhanced by the incredibly attentive, friendly and sophisticated service that you receive throughout the experience. Every step of the way my bridal consultant Judy made me feel at ease. I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't find the perfect dress because I had been to several other stores with no luck- and my wedding date was nearing. I was looking for a dress for my destination wedding, yet I still wanted something very elegant that still looked "bridal" as I am having a reception here in town that I want to wear the dress again for when I return. She managed to get my dress in on a shorter than average notice for which I am extremely grateful. She listened to my requests, offered her honest opinion when I asked, listened to my price range and in the end found my dream dress. She even found the perfect dress for my mom- which is quite a task! I highly recommend the Enchanted Bride to anyone seeking quality, experienced service with a great selection of designer dresses. It really is obvious they know what they are doing. Good luck on your hunt!
bella bride – I had a great experience at the Enchanted Bride. The staff was so knowledgable and helpful. I liked that I could look at all the the dresses myself and not have them brought to me from a 'secret room'! My sales lady, Judy, really knew her stuff. she helped me find a stule that I had not looked at yet, but it turned out to be the one. I did spend a little more than I had planned, but the shop was full service and I knew I would be taken care of. the alterations were wonderful, and a lot more reasonable than my friends spent on bargain dresses elsewhere. I also got a good discount on my bridesmaids and several of them were out of town, The manager handled all the details well, I didn't have to do anything! I went to three other places, including Neiman Marcus. My dress was just as nice as the ones I saw there, for twice as much and my service was first class.
Snobbish and Rude! – I have been visiting numerous bridal shops in multiple cities searching for the perfect dress and The Enchanted Bride was by far the worst customer service I have received. I was "helped" by Judy. She is not doing much to retain customers or encourage new customers.
She continually attempted to sell me a dress that was over me price range. When I expressed more interest in another dress her response was, "You need to listen to me. I have been to New York. I have seen the runways. This dress was featured on Oprah and The Apprentice. You need to get this dress. Don't you see the difference!?! " Next she tried name dropping of Saint Louis celebrities that have gone to the shop. I could name drop as well as she, and I don't care if Oprah herseld wore that dress. I don't want to buy a dress from someone who is rude, snobbish and high pressure. Finally, when I explained that the dress was a much larger skirt and different neckline than I was looking for, Judy's response was "Well, when are you going to do 'serious' dress shopping. We can look at gowns when you are 'serious' about getting the best gown for you."
I should have known not to try The Enchanted bride: (1) I have one friend who they were rude to and didn't help because she insisted upon staying in her price range. (2) In the case of another friend of mine they were rude to, and at times completely ignored her one bridesmaid who was heavier than the other bridesmaids. The larger sized dress was not ordered with the others, and didn't get that dress altered in the same ammount of time as the other dresses. (3) Finally, a third friend and her cousin were told that a dress was "full price" for an "as is clearance" gown with multiple tears in the sirt, missing beads and a broken strap and labeled at a sale price. She then offered them the dress at a sale price ($50 off retail) as they were walking out.
Worst experience ever! – Employees were extremely rude! When looking for my wedding gown, they wouldn't let me try on an expensive dress, because they assumed I couldn't afford it, even though I could. They said, "oh, you don't want to try that on. It's too expensive." Do they not want to sell it? Also, when looking for bridesmaid dresses, one person told me to go in the back and help myself. No one came to help me for over 20 minutes and when they did, they screamed at me for having too many dresses in my dressing room. They said, "this is ridiculous!" And I only had 4 dresses with me and there were no other customers in the store. I am a very polite person. I always try to be nice to everyone. But that's when I left and said, "I was going to buy 6 of those for my bridesmaids, but I guess you don't want my business. Oh, and I think I'll go elsewhere for my gown too." I left and ended up picking that exact bridesmaid dress and ordering it from someone else. I was one of the first of my friends to get married so I have told all of them not to go there and to tell their friends the same thing. And that is not like me. I'd recommend An Elegant Event, Robins Bridal, Maiden Voyage, and the Ultimate Bride.
