Best keep secret. Five of us when for a breakfast business meeting. Not really set-up for groups more than 4 but we make it work. Great for sit at the bar quick breakfast. The guy that waited on us looked like a biker dude but he was extremely nice and attentive. Amazed a how fast breakfast was ready after ordering. I got a basic number 4 (meat, eggs, hashbrowns and toast) Everything was hot fresh and delicious. Saw a guy at the bar get a breakfast burritos and it was huge. Someone else in our group got pancakes they were huge and delicious.
Best Breakfast in STL. Great breakfast food! Everything is cooked to order just how you want it. Coffee is hot and good. Without a doubt the best breakfast joint in STL.
best service in town best food in town.
Normally I don't write these kind of reviews but Olivette Diner is just to good to pass up. They have a great atmosphere, the waiters are friendly and the food is prepared well, the entire staff makes you feel welcome, something you cant find in other restaraunts. Breakfast Burritos are to die for!!!
A MUST SEE!!!!
The Best little breakfast place in town.. We overlooked it for years becuase it's sort of hidden in a srtip mall but ocne we discovered it it's our breakfast place now. Thave delicious food and great service; a freindly staff that always makes you feel welcome; a fun breakfast experience you won't want to miss, complete with superb freshly ground coffe!
Olivette Diner.
This is one of St Louis' best kept secrets. All of the food is prepared one dish at a time when ordered. Breakfast portions are too large to finish. They have a ton of choices for lunch - I'd argue that their tuna melt and patty melt are the best in town.
The staff is friendly - they work hard to make you feel like a regular (even if it is your first visit).
Traditional diner fare with a twist of Brie..
The Scene
Hidden in a strip mall with only the generic sign reading "Diner" posted outside, this place is easy to miss. After you visit once, however, you won't forget where to go for some great food at great prices. You can sit at aqua vinyl booths or perch at the counter and watch your food being prepared--just don't count the calories as they're mixed, poured and spooned into the dishes at hand. If you were ever a fan of Bugs Bunny cartoons, check out the cookie jar on the diner counter depicting Bugs giving Gossamer (the red-haired, sneaker-clad monster) a manicure. Other vintage memorabilia will surely amuse even the most jaded.
The Food
The menu offers breakfast items (which you can get till 3pm), lunch and desserts like floats, malts, banana splits and a number of pies. For breakfast, you really can't go wrong with anything. Intrepid eaters will love the Slinger: two eggs any style, hash browns, a hamburger patty, chili, cheese and onions, all piled together. For the slightly more health-conscious there are omelets, waffles and the spinach-Brie scramble. Lunch fare includes a variety of burgers and sandwiches--the BFT (bacon, feta and tomato) sandwich is one of the most popular.

Fabulous diner fare!. One of my favorites. The food's wonderful, the staff's the best. Never had a bad meal or experience at Olivette Diner. Just keep in mind that it can get really busy, so it might not work for you if you're rushed or impatient. But if you want great food, excellent service, and an all-around experience instead of a gobble-and-run, you must check them out.
