Tips for Olivette Lanes

Ok place but however. I like Olivette, it has 24 lanes, clean environment, however have your own ball because they are badly chipped. Smoking was not allowed but now they do on the far right end near the bar. It is still second hand smoke and it stinks. No Jukebox. Place is full all the time.

Bowlers beware. If you are going in for the $1.99 deal before 11 on Saturday to Olivette Lanes.. You better get there by 10:45 am. The older mingle gray hair woman who works there reserve extra lanes for people who come in after 11 and the price is $2.99 then. It doesn't matter if you get there 8 minutes before 11 am the price is $2.99 because she reserve those lanes LOL She says that she cannot hold lanes for anyone but she does at her own discretion. . If you call for information and a woman speaks, ask to speak to the manager for information instead. This way you will get correct information. I wish they had a website to view and is updated on a daily basis.

I started searching around for other bowling lanes because of the woman at Olivette and found a few at a reasonable price to bowl plus can top it with my coupons from entertainment coupon book. Talk about a cheap date One place I found is on New Halls Ferry Rd and they are $2.25 per game from 12 to 6 pm all day long but only have 12 lanes. Rinky Dink but is workable. If they took a little more effort in cleaning dust off of fans and fresh new paint the place could be really nice. The people who work there are very friendly on New Halls Ferry Rd. have a dart area, pool table plus a jukebox. Kid parties are there all the time. Not spacious enough but workable.. A notch up for me would be on Delmar and one downtown is nice it has a theater but only one movie.

Don't let Olivette Lane be your only option have other bowling lanes lined up just in case the woman gets on you nerves. LOL Her ignorance will cost them in the long run.

Reasonable prices, great non-smoking place on Sunday mornings. Attention non-smokers! We can take back the bowling alleys! Have you long avoided your beloved bowling simply because you hate being around all the nasty smokers? Well, go bowling when all the smokers are at mass or church, or sleeping off a hangover. Soon, at these times of the week the bowling alleys will become a haven for the Non-smoker; and bowling alley owners will realize how many of us there are, and that it's in their best interest to divide the place with a non smoking section, or even go smoke-free. Olivette Lanes is making an effort to separate the non-smokers from smokers. Recently I went to Olivette Lanes on a Sunday morning, not too busy, and only one ignorant smoker. Rates were pretty reasonable; we bowled 3 games for $13.50 ($2.25 per game per person) and shoe rental was $3 a person. I hope that this inspires you.
