Horrible!. Everything about this place was bad.....the FOOD, the service and the environment! Don't waste your time going there!
South-of-the-border favorites including steak ranchero, carnita enchiladas and margaritas by the pitcher and glass are served..
In Short
Featuring live music, catering and take out, the family-friendly restaurant is known for its enchiladas verdes de pollo, fiesta platters and large tequila collection offering more than 50 choices. Large portioned entrees typically cost $7 to $11 and include seafood and meat dishes. A local favorite is the camarones rancheros for $11.95 consisting of shrimps sautéed with vegetables and spicy sauce. The margaritas offered in a variety of flavors combined with authentic cuisine keeps locals coming back.
omg the best mexican ever. The people that wrote the review of it being bad, you must not mexican food. You can go in the dead of winter and the tomatoes are as fresh as out of the garden fresh. They have a garlic chicken to die for and margartias that are huge and cheap, STRONG.
Best Mexican food in St. Louis. I have eaten at over a dozen Mexican places in St. Louis and this is by far the best. The combo fajitas are to die for and the vegi dishes are also great. The service is typical, but once your order is placed the food comes quickly. This place seems to be the best kept secret since Ive never seen a crowd.
Agree. I agree w/ the other comment that they do not charge for chips and I have never seen meat in their beans ever. I eat there quite often. Maybe if a person gorges themselves on chips I could see the restaurant charging b/c the customer is taking advantage or they should practice a little self control.
Untrue. The review stating that Las Palmas charges for chips is untrue. I live in the area and we eat there quite often and it is now a favorite amoung our friends. I've also made loyal customers of several folks at work. Whoever wrote untrue statements about one Mex. place and in the same time frame wrote a glowing review of a competing Mex. chain restraunt seems to have some agenda, so I wanted to point out the untruths.
great food.
They do not charge for their tortia chips!
Great food and great prices
worst experience ever.. My dinner at Las Palmas was the worst dining experience I have ever had. When I asked the waiter if the ' natural beans' had meat in them, he said no. When I got them, they had chunks of pork, chicken and beef mixed in. The waitstaff seems to have no clue about the items on the menu, and the food was cold. They also charge extra for tortilla chips, which come free at most mexican restaurants.
True "Authentic" Mexican food. If you want authentic Mexican food, this is a must go to restaurant. If you are from out of town you will leave with satisfaction and a smile. If you are local this will become one of your favorite's. They have a great menu to choose from. The service is always with a smile and the food always hot and taste is to perfection. The portion's that are served are plentiful. I hope everyone enjoys this place as much as I do.
