Yum Yum. Im not a big Tex-Mex fan, but my girlfriends and I decided to go to Chuy Arzolas for some margaritas. These margaritas were fabolous. I also had the fish tacos and I can honestly say I will be going here on a regular basis.

Back and Better Than Ever!. I was a long time fan of Chuy Arzola's when it was in Dog Town and was very sad when it closed. Have eaten at Chuy's several times since it has been resurrected and have been pleasantly surprised each time. They have many of the old menu favorites, along with several new items. I tend to be a creature of habit and always order the same dish - the Austin. Today I went out on a limb and tried the Tamales. THEY WERE AMAZING! I would strongly recommend giving them a try - they will be my new favorite. Today was my first time having lunch at Chuy's. Although they were very busy, my server was very friendly and extra attentive to ensure that my meal was delivered in a timely fashion. Once a fan - always a fan!

Same name not the same food. Ate at the Dog Town Chuy's a lot and really enjoyed the food. Tried the new place yesterday and had a totally different experience when it came to the food. The parking was bad at Dog Town but here it is much worse. Try to find "someplace" in the back (not safe after dark) or drive around and around to find something in the front with a PARKING METER!! Then the food is very bland and where are the refried beans (??) and the prices have been increased but the quality has gone down. I don't think we will return--not worth it at all. Very disappointed!

Average Food, overpriced for kids and for margaritas. Three big problems for a Tex-Mex restaurant: (1) Food is average at best - their "Enchilada Suiza" has no cheese?! (2) Bland, too small (10 oz), overpriced margaritas. (3) Not kid friendly - they make clear the $5 kids meal includes only fountain drinks, and then charged us an extra $1.80 for each milk - do you really need to make a few extra cents on an 8 oz glass of milk?

We're new to STL, but it is obvious this place is going to try to exploit the fact that some people liked their old restaurant of the same name. Shame on them.

Would without a doubt I'd recommend the Taco Bell on Kingshighway and Delmar over this place again...and I say that fully realizing how disappointed that means I was in this place.

CLOSED as of 7/3/08. I'm sorry to report that Chuy's served its last meal on 3 July 2008. Over the years, the food declined, the salsa was no longer homemade (I saw them pour it out of large Kraft salsa containers), and good service was sporadic. Citing the closure of Hwy 40 for the downturn in business, the restaurant shut its doors. Many of us made a final pilgrimmage to this little neighborhood icon - not for the food, but to remember the good times we had there.

If you're looking for good Mexican food in the city, try Lily's on Kingshighway at Landsdown or Chimichanga's on S Grand at Eiler.

Best customer service around!. I love Chuy's and the people who work there are AMAZING!! Super nice, very efficient and eager to please. But sadly, yes...it is true that it will be closing here soon. Stupid economy....

I love Chuy's!. I have always loved Chuy's! We go there often for lunch but I heard a rumor that they are going out of business the end of this month. June 2008. Anyone heard that?

9.3..what scale are you on!. Horrible, horrible, "mexican" food. I had a chicken taco salad and cheese dip. First of all the taco salad had regular old store bought salad mix (with carrots and cabbage) YUCK. The cheese dip was an odd shade of orange, didnt taste good at all. My husband had a burrito and he said it was ok at best. My husband will eat anything. I do not recommend.

Nice ambience - we sat outdoors. Good drinks, average food (I.M.H.O.), good service, lively atmosphere. We went for 'happy hour'. Fun for large group.
