Great breakfast!. Great breakfast! Great sandwiches! Real affordable. Love the people there, family owned and you feel it when you go there. They remember you! We always see Chris in the restaurant and he always makes sure he comes to the table and says hello-appreciates the business! Not everyone does that these days!

good pancakes. if you want overpriced breakfast this is your place. Everything on the breakfast menu is pretty good. Don't order from the lunch or dinner menu. Do not eat dinner here. Even the hamburgers are below average. The service was great but the food isn't.

Best breakfast. I went to Chris's with my family which was 10 people and this was on a Saturday around 2:00pm. We didn't have to wait very long and let me tell you there were a lot lot lot of people. The waitress we had was very nice and the service was fast considering we had 10 people. When it is busy though it is hard to find a place to park. The lot is not very big. But otherwise the food is delicious, especially the breakfast . You have to try it!!!!

Most consistent service in STL. I live in the neighborhood and have yet to find any place in the St. Louis area with more consistent service. Even on busy days they get you in fast and get your food out quickly and hot. They even have a great complimentary coffee station for anyone in the waiting area. This works great for those of us who can handle waiting for food but not for our morning jolt!

I would recommend Chris' to anyone of any age group. Truly a fine South City establishment.

Fast service & great omelets!. Chris' is one my favorite place for breakfast! The food is great and the service is really fast, which is important because people are usually waiting to get in the restaraunt.

A great place to dine!. This is a great place for several reasons. The food is great and so are the prices. The service is consistently top notch. I never had a rude waiter or waitress and I have been a repeat customer for over 10 years. This place can get very busy (at certain times), especially on the weekends at breakfast time but hey, it is a popular place. Chris' is also a great place for children. The appetizers are great also!

Southsiders know where to go at any time of the day.. The Scene
The crowd at this large, comfy restaurant changes throughout the day. In the morning, when waits can be long, it attracts just about everyone. Don't sweat it, though--just grab a seat and watch the kids launch pennies into the red gravity well by the door. Lunchtime sees business types roll in for burgers and sandwiches. Teenagers and assorted night owls populate the place after dark. Ask to sit in the sun room, which is quieter, not to mention smoke-free.
The Food
As you'd expect, the pancakes are really good. Try the buckwheat variety if you're in the mood for a change. Omelettes are another can't-miss option. They come with hash browns and pancakes, so be prepared to eat.

Good food, good service. This place has a great veteran wait staff that know the menu inside out. Very kid friendly. The food is never disappointing.

new and improved. has always been a good restraunt for the money, but now, after renovations, is also a pleasent place to go for a casual dinner or a business meeting in their new rooms.
