Please Do NOT purchase Mother of the Bride Groom dress here. This place is one of the most unprofessional places I have had the unfortunate opportunity to experience. As a top executive in my own business ( note: medical field not retail) I can honestly say that Distinctions has a lack of professionalism and a lack of communications from within. Where do I begin? Mothers, PLEASE don't waste your time stepping into this nightmare of a business if it can even be called a business. A few of the workers were satisfactory but the owners Nancy and Bruce Lehtman are the coldest people I have ever met. I purchased my Mother of the Bride dress here for my daughter’s wedding. When my dress was two weeks late in arriving I called the shop and Bruce Lehtman answered in an unprofessional manner. Nancy Lehtman the owner came on the line and acted like it was no big deal and I was wasting her time. A few days later I stopped in the store to discuss it with NancyLehtman only to be told she was too busy to talk to me. When the dress finally arrived I made another mistake in choosing them to alter it. The seamstress made a few uncomfortable statements regarding my figure and alterations were again later then promised. All the other vendors we had for the wedding were exceptional. I just don't want any other mother to have to go through an experience like mine.

Don't Bother. Maybe... if you are willing to overpay a ridiculous amount for something on the rack-but DO NOT attempt to order-You will never get what you ordered and they may charge you twice!

Fabulous place for Prom Dresses. Distinctions is the place to find the perfect dress for prom. Someone posted that the "The Parkway Girls" don't like to shop at this store. Whoever wrote this you are SADLY mistaken. My daughter and her friends have been buying their prom dresses at Distinctions for the last four years. There has been no question, don't go anywhere else. Don't waste your time. The customer service is fantastic. They want you to be happy and to feel great when you walk out the door. My daughter loves going into this store because she feels like she is going to get the dress of her dreams every time. AND SHE DOES!!!!!! Parkway girls listen to me, go to DISTINCTIONS!!!!!

Not Horrible Not Great Rockwood School District Class. We are from Rockwood School District. We certainly would not dirive out of our way to come here. But, we did not think they were horrible either.

Parkway School District Ckass Overpriced- Nothing Special.
This store owner is proud they ONLY sold 36 dresses a year. Think about how many school districts are in St. Louis, Now think about how many attend a prom, homecoming / special dance..OMG.They didn't even sell ONE dress a week.
That is sad. Proves my point. The girls I know from Parkway School District did not like your dresses. They were overpriced and nothing special. We have seen better things at the mall.

Must Be Doing Something Right, Open 22 years!!!. Can you imagine writing anything other than a five star review for Distinctions (unless you are a jealous, horn rimmed four eye competitor)? While I was in Distinctions with my daughter looking for a prom dress, I was amazed to find out that I bought the 800th Prom Dress!!! ( which I might add, I did received a free dinner for two as a prize) I looked at many other stores,( some on Clayton Road), only to find the perfect dress for my daughter at Distinctions. I worked with two of the sales associates, trying to find the perfect dress. I might add that the selection was so large that I needed all of the help that I received trying to find a dress that was in my price range, and looked amazing. I am not going to sit here and tell you anymore positive things about my wonderful experience at Distinctions, but I am going to tell you to find out for yourself. Save yourself some time and aggravation. Distinctions doors have been open for at least 22 years, at the same location...and it seems with the same dedication, and that is to serve it up just RIGHT.

Prom Dress Shopping at Distinctions. My daughter and I had been to SEVERAL places in St. Louis looking for prom dresses. My daughter had a dress in mind and we could not find it anywere. We were to the point that the style of dress just was not to be found. Our final stop was Distinctions. They did not have the dress she pictured on the floor, but we were given several catalogs to look at. Within 10 min my daughter found the dress she had been wanting. The employees at Distinctions were so courteous, helpful and were not going to give up until she was happy. They placed the order and we received a call that our dress had arrived. When Distinctions called, the owner personally got on the phone to tell us how stunning the dress was. We picked up the dress yesterday and she was right. It was the most gorgeous dress I had ever seen. I would just like to thank Distinctions for being so patient with us, courteous and giving such WONDERFUL customer Service. We will definitely be back to shop at your store!!

AWESOME Service!. I was trying to find places to take my mom to find a dress for my wedding. A friend recommended Distinctions. I honestly wasn't sure and even after emailing Nancy I confessed I wasn't sure. We went there today and it was FABULOUS! Nancy was amazing. She was friendly, comfortable and funny. We had a blast. Mom tried on so many dresses and we finally narrowed it down to one. Now of course *fingers crossed* that we like it when it comes in. Of course we all worry about that don't we? ;) I will recommend Distinctions to everyone I know. The customer service in top notch and IMO that is one of THE most important aspects. Thanks Nancy!

Great experience. I was looking for a dress for my step-daughter's wedding. I found Distinctions online and decided to see what they had to offer. We were immediately greeted by a gentleman and when I told him what I was looking for, he said that Nancy would be glad to help me with that. Nancy was very helpful in finding a dress that would look good with my shape and coloring. She showed me the sale rack and then some of the regularly priced dresses. All were very nice. Time will tell when the dress comes in and alterations done but right now I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend them others.
