Not so special.
I was in here for a bit to eat last week. The food tasted ok, but overall a bit greasy. Ask for the server Megan. She was so sweet and helpful with our kids. I would probably never go back there.

Trains may be the gimmick but the burgers are the claim to fame..
The Scene
From a rousing beginning as a popular neighborhood watering hole at 9243 Manchester Road to expanded locations in Laclede's Landing and West Port, the Train Wreck has always been the place for a beer?there are 16 to choose from?a burger and sports on satellite dish. Bison heads and antique bars grace the locales and on weekends there's live music at the Laclede's Landing venue. The Rock Hill location has a train car on the premises as well as a HO version that travels the perimeter of the dining room on an elevated track. At the Laclede's Landing location you'll find a two-story nightclub with pool tables. West Port's Train Wreck has a popular outdoor seating area.
The Food
The Brakeman's Basket (a substantial burger with a Monk's Mound of fries) is a popular choice, as well as ostrich and bison burgers, steak sandwiches and other pub grub. The chicken strips are crispy and peppery. Watch out for the seasoned-salt fries?sometimes the seasoning's dead on, others over the top. Chili has a bit of a kick to it and the breaded shrimp are the '50s version--flattened and crispy from the deep fryer.
