Since opening its first location next to the San Antonio World's Fair in 1968, this well-known chain has become synonymous with consistency and reasonable rates. Room conveniences include data port phones with voice mail, work spaces, coffeemakers, irons, hair dryers and TVs with premium channels, movies-on-demand and video games. Budget-conscious travelers appreciate the free continental breakfast and families traveling with children like the pool and kids-stay-free policy.

50/50 Experience.... The motel, to start off on the GOOD/EXCELLENT side, is very attractive, with nice rooms, a great complimentary continental breakfast, and a fine pool. Also, it is located within easy driving distance of much of the St. Louis area, so it worked well for that. There is a handy convenience store nearby, as well. Their management/reception crew are very polite and know their jobs well.

ON the OTHER HAND...in the three days we were there, the very first day their attendants missed our room entirely, and we had to make our own beds, dump our own trash and call for fresh towels (on the plus side, the manager gave us the room free for the trouble). Then the NEXT day, they made up only one bed, and didn't vacuum the room for the second day in a row. Once alerted, they addressed the problems immediately. Plus, by being outside of St. Louis, we weren't very close to restaurants or shopping, and their room rates fluctuated daily, which was a bit frustrating.

We felt that we just caught them during a bad week, as the manager seemed frustrated with the situations, and deeply apologized for the inconvenience.

Overall, we'd probably stay there again.

Great place to stay for a family. Rooms are ok and the pool is good also. The staff was super nice. They guy at the front desk told us about a great palce to eat. Same guy gave the kids pennys for the water feature they have in the lobby. Good place to stay and great staff for a great price.
