Great place to shop. I love Mark Twain Hobby, I've never had a problem with the place when I'm getting something. :)

You'll Be Very Sorry. Let me echo what you'll read everywhere else on the web about Mark Twain Hobby.

These guys are all smiles and helpfulness, until you come back with a problem.

I bought a rather expensive RC Helicopter from them, and after unboxing it, found that one of the gears were stripped. I boxed it back up, and drove it back to Mark Twain.

Keep in mind that I didn't want a refund, only an exchange for a working unit.

Not in this life.

They weren't exchanging anything. There excuse? "It's been flown.". Well.. duh... I had to take it out of the box and power it up to know that it was broke.

Not in a million years. No exchange. No refund. No nothing. We'll be glad to sell you some parts if you want to fix it YOURSELF.

Don't waist your time or money here. No service what-so-ever after the sale.

I'm contacting the Missouri Attorney General, because Missouri law says you HAVE to issue me a refund if I have a receipt and I'm under 30 days. So... enjoy talking to him about it.

All others... BEWARE.

Your best source for RC parts in the St. Louis Area. I have dealt with Mark Twain Hooby Shop for many years now and am pleased to report that I will always return. Hobby shops are becoming rare and we are fotunate to have a store of this caliber in our area. I have read and heard some of the complaints. To the compainers I say get over yourself. First this a business, they stock the items that will sell the best and try to keep a stock of the parts that you may need in a hurry. They can special order almost anything. The staff, like all people, have varying degrees of knowledge and expertise and alway try to be helpful. Some people complain about things locked in the cases. That is because some low lifes think these items should be free. By the way you have to get things out of the case at WalMart, don't you? Some always say that I can get it cheaper mail order. Sometimes this may be true, but only from China or if you have a special coupon. Mark Twain has always price matched any item I found online and could show them. Their prices are in line with any retailer and most online stores that carry major name brands have fixed prices as well. Mark Twain support local RC clubs with prizes and discounts as well as sub scouts and other organizations. Mark Twain Hobby Shop is an active part of the R/C community and their support is appreciated. Support your local hobby shop! If you don't some day you may not have one to go to.

Best Hobby Shop In The St. Louis Metro Area. I discovered Mark Twain Hobby when I moved to St. Charles 10 years ago and I haven't stopped shopping there since. I was never a gigantic hobby guy, I dabbled here & there but the staff at Mark Twain quickly changed my mind and opened my eyes. I gave them 5 stars for their knowledge and experience and I think it's awesome that I'm greeted by name when I walk in. My son (he's 6 now) asks me every weekend if we can go to the Train Store. I'm happy to pass along my love of trains to him, and even more happy that I know he'll always have a place to fulfill those dreams. Great job, Mark Twain!

Excellent Experience. I've been into RC and models for over 20 years and typically use hobby shops local to me. Mark Twain Hobby has always been my local resource, no matter what I am looking for.

When I had a question about a nitro powered Tmaxx, they had all the answers. When I had a question about a micro-heli, they not only pointed me in the right direction - but also let me fly a display model.

The staff is more knowledgeable and helpful than any other place I've been.

Poor customer service. Mark Twain has a good selection of aircraft to pick from. However, after several disappointing visits due to poor customer service I've decided to shop elsewhere. They are good at taking your money but, beware, if you need any help - forget it. You would do better to order on line. The price would be much better too. Not worth spending your money there. Good luck.
