A festive atmosphere, potent margaritas and wallet-friendly prices lure crowds to this popular Mexican chain.. In Short With friendly servers and goofy gimmicks, Chevys is a big draw for families and groups looking for a fun, affordable night out. A full bar and a dozen different margaritas attract a happy hour crowd, and a tortilla machine is often surrounded by children watching the dough-to-tortilla transformation. Fajitas, a house specialty, are available with nearly a dozen different fillings, from mesquite-grilled chicken to portobello mushrooms and asparagus. Desserts include flan and sopaipillas.
Really good Mexican food here, the salsa is super fresh and a nice change from all the too-tomatoey stuff you get at most places. Lots of variety on the menu including fish and shrimp. Salads are huge and very good also. Service is usually pretty good. Fun place for birthdays and celebrations. Bar can be very noisy though and that's the only place for smokers now. Too crowded on Friday and Saturday nights to even try to get in.
