New Ownership, New Chef, New Look, New Grappa Grill!

I had not been to Grappa Grill In years because of an unpleasant experience years ago. Recently I met some friends there for dinner and drinks. The management are in force at all the tables. They are asking the customers on what they would like to see in the reataurant. The place has been completely repainted and they were starting work on the outside of the building also. The food was delicious, had the chef special that evening and the service was outstanding. The new owner Jack even stopped by the table to thank us for coming in and to see if we enjoyed our meal. Can't remember the last time the owner of a restaurant asked me how my meal was. I don't know what has been going on here in the past couple of years, but I will be telling everyone I know about the new Grappa Grill. Can't wait to see the new outside of the building when it is completed. See you at Grappa Grill!

Worst Time- Slow Service- Incorrectly cooked Steak

Service was slow..Had to ask twice for A-1 sauce..Asked for medium steak and it came out, to our table, well done and dry, and still no A-1 sauce. Waitress finally came by and asked how eveything was, and we told her about the steak and still no A-1 sauce. Steak came back, this time by one of the managers..Cut it opened, and it was raw. Waitress finally brought the A-1. Steak came back and finally it was cooked right.The store manager did come over and apologise, and took our meal off the ticket. And after all that, it still took 10 minutes more for the waitress to get our bill. It shouldn't take this much just to get a meal. This is the second time in a week where the service was slow and subpar.I would not reccommend this place.

Appetizer - Had the Ravioli Sampler. Meat ravioli OK, Spinach artichoke OK, nacho cheese? - not so much.

Rolls - store-bought and dry - served with frozen butter.

Dinner Salads - average at best

Dinners had by those at table -

Italian Sausage and Penne - Sausage good, LOTS of peppers, sauce HIGHLY acidic.

Sirloin Steak - Ordered medium rare, first one came out overcooked, second one came out almost rare and obviously cut into.

Chicken Asparagus - not very flavorful, bland.

Kids meal came with an Oreo Gummy Worm sundae - obviously sat waiting for delivery to table, arriived nearly melted.

Bill came 20 minutes after the sundae - 1980's billing system to blame - waitress missing during same 20 minute period.

Overall, not a good experience, your results may vary.
