1st & Last Time Eating At Dennys. Went to two other eating establishment and found it was going to be an hour wait to be seated, so one of the people in our party suggested Denny’s. Having never eaten at one before I agreed and was anticipating a new dinning experience. Entering we were greeted and requested a nonsmoking table. Moments latter we were seated and I noticed that people were smoking on the other side of a partition, and we were told this was a Non Smoking Table and we would never notice the smoke because of the good venting. After waiting a long time a waitress finally showed up and asked what we wanted to drink, I asked for a Mountain Due and was snottily told me we only carry Coke products so I asked for a Mellow Yellow. She rolled her eyes and loudly said I told you we only carry Coke Products. I gave up and ordered a lemon aid. When she finally came with our drinks after a period of time, she grabbed the rim of each of the glasses with her fingers and set them down and walked away forgetting straws. We kept getting strong odors of smoke and realized all the people at the tables around us were by now Smoking. After numerous attempts at flagging our waitress unsuccessfully we asked the first employee we could find to talk to the manager. She finally came and we asked about Non Smoking and why we were surrounded by smokers? Her reply was we use this table as non smoking when it gets busy. We asked to be moved and she gave us a real disgusted look and an attitude to beat. She said follow me and turned and walked to the back of the store and stood by a table waiting for us to catch-up. Shortly the original waitress with the funky attitude finally showed up and asked us what we were doing back here. We told her we were moved to the Non Smoking section by the Manager like we requested upon entering. She took our order, served it and was never seen again until we were paying the bill, she came over with a whole different attitude and asked us how every thing was and hung around. We were asked by the person at the register if we wanted to leave a tip? When I replied NO, she walked away in a huff. A very friendly waitress took us under her wing and we had good service the rest of our stay. Also the food was very unremarkable. Now I know why we were seated so quickly when other establishments were very busy!

Will I ever eat at a Denny’s Again, You Guessed It, NO!!

Known for its breakfasts, this diner chain slings all-American grub and bottomless cups of coffee.. In Short
With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.
