average.
Went on a busy week night with some girlfriends. The server and server assistants were super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I felt like the food was just okay. I feel like I could've made it at home.
AND, I may have gotten food poisoning from the mushrooms. My roommate and I ate together all day and I was the only one who was very ill for two days following.
Performing chefs cook up rustic, home-style Italian entrees at this buzzing family restaurant..
In Short
A boisterous, all-ages crowd of pasta lovers pack this energetic Italian spot, where chefs clad in white hats and red scarves keep diners wide-eyed by showing their moves in the busy open kitchen. The menu boasts family-sized portions of hearty traditional fare, from antipasti, chicken and pasta dishes to seafood, steak and wood-fired pizzas. Signature plates include grilled pork chops, lobster ravioli, and penne rustica with shrimp, grilled chicken and smoked prosciutto in cream sauce.
Started off with bad experience when restuarant opened - the memory lingers. Average to below average service. Better experience second time around but not my first picks in places to dine in St. Louis, MO. Parking is limited at this location.
Did I go the same restaurant?. As evidenced by the other reviews, I must have gone on a bad night. The bleu cheese on my salad tasted quite literally like mouthwash. My girlfriend's pasta had so much garlic that you could not taste the chicken or pasta; just a very pungent, unpleasant taste. The shrimp/artichoke appetizer was great, though. Eat at your own risk, I say.
Fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere, fun, enjoyable for the whole family. Great food at terrific prices. Won't go any place else again.
