Bruno's is a bar. My Mom called me and wanted to meet me and some of my family members for lunch to celebrate the anniversary of our Fathers passing . She suggested Bruno's on Hampton and Columbia near the Hill. Being a former owner a restaraunt/deli food portion and quality are the two things I look for.

The french onion soup was more like brown greasy gravy with croutons and provel cheese which was instantly dissolved upon eating turning the gravy soup a nice light brown the color of dirt not a deep dark broth.

The portion sizes were reminiscent of childs portion my wife got 14 french fries i got 4 onion rings (extra 50cents) with our philly cheesesteak specials 7.95 each and so dry we had to ask for some au jus.

2-3 slices of green pepper on them and once again just like the french onion soup hardly any onions so as far as Bruno's its probally a great place for a beer and burger but for taking family out for something I would probally go some place else that has less Bar Food on a high note the waitress was top notch and even took off the french onion soup after she had seen my wife was not eating it and constantly refilled our drinks so the issue here is how the food is prepared and quantity served along with the quality of the cook preparing the food to serve
