Dr. Angela is one of the most caring vets I have ever been to. I have been going to WGAH for over 40 years. She has helped me with my little Boxer who is in severe pain from a back problem and now with a foot problem. She really cares and will do anything she can to help the pet. She is tops in my book and I give her as many stars as I can. She is the only reason I continue to go there. The front staff are way to stressed out, they are nice but really frustrated. Not sure why. Thank you Dr. Angela
Came in to buy a capstar tablet. Was able to walk right in to the pharmacy, seen right away. However, no information was given as to how to give the pill, side effects, or tips on dealing with the fleas until I specifically asked. I was hoping that, just like a pharmacy for people, this information would be voluntarily and eagerly disclosed.
wonderful. all staff considerate & caring to both my pet & me
Our staff did there best to save my puppy, but she died. Staff was nice
We have used Webster Groves Animal Hospital for the last 3 years. The staff has always been busy but friendly. We always see the same doctor, but that is because we ask for him. Last year our cat was hospitalized for 5 days. He was taken care of like king! Every day when we would visit the techs all knew our boy cat and would offer us words of comfort. He fully recovered and is doing great! I have compared their prices on shots and they are very reasonable. I won't go anywhere else and recommend them to all my friends.
Great hours! – I have a miniature schnauzer that I took to Webster Groves Animal Hospital once for her yearly shots and check-up and once to get her teeth cleaned. First of all, the hours are great. I felt good knowing that I had an animal hospital nearby that I could use in case of an emergency, but also it was easy to get an appointment with my work schedule. I forgot what doctor I had, but she was very knowledgeable. I was concerned about Annie's (the dog) drinking. She drinks A LOT of water and I was told by my previous vet that she probably had a kidney infection, there would be tests run and drugs involved. The vet at WGAH said she was fine and made a note in Annie's chart to give her extra water after her teeth cleaning. Turns out, there is no kidney infection and I'm glad she saved me the hundreds of dollars of testing and drugs when my dog is just really thirsty. I took Annie in to a couple different vets to get prices on her teeth cleaning. WGAH was definitely the cheapest AND they didn't have to pull any teeth. Other vets said they would have to pull at least 4 teeth...without even looking in her mouth first. I live in Chicago now and wish I could come back to WGAH for my dog's check-ups. It's so hard to find a reasonably priced vet that is open outside of the 9-5 hours!
I've taken my cats here for years, and I love it. They have AWESOME hours, and are very friendly and accomodating. It doesn't seem to take forever in the waiting room, and the TV's are helpful to distract from the waiting anyway. It's a very easy process to call in and get an appt, and they were very helpful the one time I had an emergency and had to bring my kitten in a few years ago. (She died, and even though the doctor didn't know why she died without doing an autopsy, they were very friendly and even sent me a condolence card) I absolutely love their evening hours. SOO helpful. As for prices, I guess it's normal- I don't really know any different. I suppose I don't experience the "personelness" feeling where ppl recognize you, but I'm okay with that. I see a different vet every time- but each one is friendly. So that makes it okay for me. I suppose it just matters whether that is important to you.
My pomeranian has been going to WGAH since I've had her. Dr. Britt is extremely knowledgeable and does all she can to ensure my dog is calm and comfortable during checkups. Other reviewers have stated that they see a different vet each visit, but you can specify which vet you would like to see when you set up your appt. My dog has her annual checkups, her spay surgery, dental cleaning, and Xrays when she broke her leg all at WGAH. When she required surgery to repair her leg that could not be done at WGAH, they offered a referal to a surgeon in the area (who was fantastic). The hrs can't be beat - they are open until 2AM during the wk and are open 24 hrs on the wkd! Pricing is def competitive - their annual checkup package is reasonable and also offers 10% off preventive meds like Heartgard, etc.
