Fresh food, great ambiance!.
The ambiance is great! Bring a date and sit downstairs by the koi pond, or go with a group of friends and sit upstairs where the DJ is. The CWE location is a perfect starting point for your night since its situated within walking distance to many other desert, coffee, and nighttime hot spots.
The servers are very knowledgeable and welcoming; they've always been able to recommend a great wine or cocktail for whatever i order.
The specialty rolls are amazing! I had the privy chance to go back into the kitchen area and was really impressed by the cleanliness, which wasn't surprising since the food is always fresh and delicious. I'm a huge fan of the White Tiger Roll and the Superman Roll, but its a great place to go for just drinks and appetizers as well.
Awesome Sushi!. Every time i come to this place it's awesome and packed with people. The atomsphere, food and service is always a great experience! You can't beat a platter of sushi, a 22oz Sapporo beer and hot sake on any given night!
Exceeded Expectations. Sake Bombs were fun and unique. I have never seen a sake bomb with fire until I experienced it at The Drunken Fish. My friends and I loved the sushi and the bar was packed of great looking people.
Great Service. My sister and I came to Drunken Fish for her birthday and really enjoyed our meal. We were given awesome recommendations and a complimentary dessert. We will definitely be back.
Best Looking Crowd. Best sushi I've had in years! My first thought was, How can sushi from the midwest compare to New York.? There's no way...but to my surprise the sushi was exciting and delicious. The crowd was gorgeous. My table was next to a table full of St. Louis Blues players. And next to them was a large table full of beautiful women celebrating a birthday party. You have to see it for yourself to believe it!
Great food, great time!. My husband and I have found our new favorite sushi spot! We have tried all over the St. Louis area, and CWE's Drunken Fish is permanently our "sushi place!" We went last weekend and walked into a packed restaraunt. We did have to wait 20 minutes with a reservation, but had no problem considering the friendly lounge area upstairs. Once we were seated, we were immediately greeted with a "tour of the menu." The service was impressive with how busy it was! We tried a little bit of everything and could not have been more satisfied. After our fried bananas for dessert, we realized we had spent the past three hours at the Drunken Fish! Good times do really fly by!
Sadly Dissappointed. The Food is great if you can get a table and decent service. We made reservations for 8:30 on a Saturday night. We arrived and were told it would be a few minutes and we could wait at the bar, so we did. We waited over 10 minutes for a drink and 45 minutes for our table. After going down and asking for the manager we finally got a table that was too small for our party. The manager never came to talk to us or even apologize for the situation. The food that we received,(after another half hour) was good but when the bill came we informed our waitress that we did not receive one of the plates. She said the food was almost ready, an hour after ordering it. I had to ask her to remove it from the bill. Then our checks were all given back incorrect and we were charged over %15 for a gratuity. I hate that the service and situation were so poor because the food was good. Maybe we will try another location but will not go back to the one we went to tonight.
the name is only the beginning. This place is by my work so I eat here frequently. The food is always fantastic and the service friendly and quick. I first started going here for the name but quickly fell in love with the food. This is where I take a client when I want to impress them.
Worse than lousy service!!!!. I went on a Tuesday night when there was no crowd, but left after 45 minuted when I couldn't get anyone to take my order. Fortunately, I was able to walk across the street to a much better restaurant.
Great Atmosphere. We ended up eating here when the restaurant we wanted was closed. It wasn't the best sushi we'd ever had. It did have a nice ambiance and good service.
