Great Hotel BUT... – It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Noisy, Poor Customer Service – If you’re looking for a quiet room – you might want to look elsewhere. I had an awful experience coupled with even worse customer service that has resulted in going out of my way (and for my employees) to avoid all Westin properties.

Despite the fact that I was sick and requested a quiet room, my room was located near several clubs with loud music and was a hundred or so yards away from a freeway interchange and rail line. Despite calls to the front desk and e-mails to Westin corporate nothing was done during my stay. Then following four sleepless nights and further complaints, Westin/Starwood finally informed me that the property is noisy by the very nature of its location and that the noise was outside their control and did nothing more. It is interesting that other Westin properties, including New York Times Square, have sound abatement. It is disappointing that I can no longer trust this brand.

While I could go blow-by-blow of by far the worst customer service I have experienced in years, I’m not sure this would serve a purpose to those who use this site. However, the following are excerpts from e-mail responses from the Westin St. Louis and Westin/Starwood corporate that further validate the issues with noise at this property.

“Our favorable location next to the ball park definitely has its draw backs. The ball park provides an excellent view from some of our rooms and an easy walk to the games but also comes with excited fans as well as neighboring restaurants and bars.” Oct. 17, 2009 e-mail from Sarah Peplowski, front desk manager.

“Since the noise was from an outside source, it is beyond the hotels control.” Oct. 18, 2009 e-mail from Stephanie Ryan, Specialist, E-Communications Department, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Distinctive digs with modern amenities and beds so heavenly they're hard to roll out of. – In Short
With programs designed for both business travelers and families, this property takes service seriously. Business travelers can take advantage of guest office rooms stocked with phone, fax and printer. For families, a kids' club provides coloring books, bath toys and a phone line dedicated to bedtime stories. All visitors are treated to signature Heavenly Beds with pillow-top mattresses, cushy down blankets and crisp white sheets ranging in thread count from 180 to 250.

Totally Perfect – I first visited the Westin St. Louis in fall, 2003. I fell in love...it was so perfect. Modern and luxurious. Not like frilly decor, but cool, hip and comfortable. If you are "conservative" you might think it stark, but if you are 30-40ish, yuppie, you will Love it.

The Staff went out of their way both times I was there to make my stay wonderful.

Thanks, Albert in the Hospitality suite...you were a doll. Get the upgrade to the floor with this amenity...it's sweet!

Can't wait to go back.

Wedding Night Hotel – We stayed at the Westin on the night of our wedding. The service was excellent, the room was beautiful (very modern looking), the room service breakfast was delicious, the bathroom was huge, and the bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (complete with a down comforter and 4 feather pillows). We can't wait until our 1 year anniversary, when we plan to stay at the Westin again. The Adam's Mark pales in compartison to the Westin.
