I was growing quite fond of this place until my experience this weekend. I'd dropped off items (as I usually do) only to find that months later, the manager had not even put my items out on the floor for sale. NO ONE bothered to call me and when I showed up with new items (expecting a check for the things that had been there) she handed me my items from the back room as if they were garbage. There were customers in the store and it was quite a humiliating experience. She offered NO explanation as to why she could not take my items and when asked made up an excuse that my Izod leather jacket (only worn twice) was damaged but could not show any evidence to back up her claim. Then she offered me $12 for a faux leather jacket which she didn't even realize was not real leather! How can a person that runs a "high end" consignment shop not tell the difference between real and faux leather? What a fraud. I would not allow this lady to sell anything to me or for me ever again! She treats her customers, clients, and their clothing like trash!

This is one of my favorite resale stores in St Louis. I try to go at least once a month and never leave empty handed. The personal are great and very friendly. Two thumbs up for this one.

This is a wonderful store. I went the other day and I was very pleased with the wide selection of brand name clothes that were available fo purchase. The prices were reasonable as well.

The staff was very helpful and professional as well. I highly recommend this store if you are looking for designer labels at discounted prices.

Store Personnel. Walked in the door & just the attitude of the 2 older ladies turned me away. Very snobbish & not warm or friendly.

Excellente!!. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Back on the Rack. Joanne the owner is a doll as well as the other associates who work there. They are always so kind and courteous. They are more than happy to help you put outfits together. I shop there regularly. If you have never been I think you should try it. I have some of the most beautiful clothing from this store. Thanks Joanne for running a great business!!!

Wonder Place To Shop. Very Impressed with this store. The clothes are wonderful and price right on the mark. I will be a frequent shopper at his store.

Poor Service. I was not impressed. Very "older lady" clothes. The woman who was running the store just really rubbed me the wrong way. They are still "hand-me-down" clothes. It is NOT Neiman Marcus, so attitude is not appropriate there.

Nice merchandise but don't recommend for consignment.. I took in several very high end formal attire/holiday gowns around Thanksgiving time. These are dresses or outfits that cost in the $200 range when purchased, mostly Talbots. Three sold and my cut was $16.00! They will not provide you with any specifics on which items sold and for how much even though when you purchase something, they do write up a receipt with that information on it. I believe that I was cheated whether it was intentional or not. They have some very nice items for sale and their prices are pretty reasonable, but certainly not as low as my items would have had to sell for. I won't be returning to this store.
