Golden PilsnerThis Bohemian styled pilsner is rich & malty. The hop character is spicy due to the use of czech saaz hops. Msb’s golden pilsner is not quite as bitter as its German pilsner cousin. This pilsner has a nice rounded taste, w/ a clean crisp finish. The appearance is pale to deep gold, w/ a creamy white head. This beer has won many awards, w/ the most prestigious being gold at the world beer cup in 2010.The golden pilsner is available year round at our brewery.
Honey WheatThis American style unfiltered wheat beer is great anytime. The aroma is pleasantly grainy & sweet w/ a touch of honey. The appearance is pale yellow w/ minimal clarity. The flavor is not overpowering, & is quite quaffable. Honey wheat has a low hop bitterness that is balanced out by the honey malt used in the mash. The mouth feel is smooth & crisp, & has medium to high carbonation.
Edwin Budding Lager A.K.A KrystalIn the summer, it is widely accepted to drink what has been labeled a lawn mower beer. These beers are typically lighter in nature, & quite refreshing on a hot summer’s day. Well, our Edwin Budding Lager (EBL) is our “lawn mower” beer. Edwin Budding, who hailed from Gloucestershire, England, is the man credited w/ inventing the lawnmower in 1830. What better way to honor the man who has helped us for nearly 200 years keeping our lawns nice & trim, than to name a beer after him. Made only w/ the four main ingredients; Malt, Water, Barley, & Yeast. This Premium Styled American Lager has little malt & hop aroma present. The color is straw yellow w/ a white frothy head, & very clear. EBL is very crisp & dry in flavor, & overall very refreshing. Look for EBL during the summer months to quench your thirst.
Munich HellesPleasant, bready, & sweet are all adjectives describing this classic German styled lager. There is a presence of medium to low spicy hop bitterness. The appearance of our Munich Helles is slightly darker in color than its commercial counterparts, but it boasts clarity & a creamy white head. Helles has a medium body w/ medium carbonation. This beer truly shows off Munich malt at its best.
ViennaWith a healthy dose of Vienna malt, this malt forward lager is slightly stronger than its German counterparts. With rich aroma & copper color, this Vienna Style Lager aims to please. The off-white head sets the mood, & prepares the drinker for the gentle creaminess & moderately crisp finish. There are some light toasted notes that segway into a drier finish. This beer is available at different times throughout the year, so drink it when you can.
Full Bodied
AltbierAlt means old, & bier means beer, so naturally altbier means old beer. This in no way implies that it is spoiled or old, but distinctly means giving credit to the ways of old for brewing this beer. Altbier has a subtle malty aroma, & has a low noble hop aroma to compliment. The appearance is copper, & is clear w/ an off-white head. The flavor is fairly bitter yet balanced, & has a decent amount of malt character. This is our homage to brewing in the ways of “alt,” so raise a glass in salute to our brewing forefathers.
Cobblestone Steam LagerThis style of beer originated in San Francisco, & has been affectionately dubbed the California Common Style. Our Cobblestone Steam is amber in color, clear, & has an off-white head. There is a medium bodied mouthfeel to go w/ the medium to high carbonation. The finish is crisp & dry, w/ lingering hop bitterness. This style of beer is quite delicious, & is available throughout the year at the brewery.
Decades IPLBrewed to celebrate our 10th anniversary, Decades is an all Cascade hopped beer from bittering hop to dry hop. It has a dark amber color w/ an off-white head. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, & Decades has a medium level of carbonation. There is an unmistakable grassiness to this IPL which stems from dry hopping w/ whole leaf Cascade hops in the serving tank. Even though we have been established for 15 plus years now, Decades still has a place in our hearts & definitely on the beer menu. Join us in lifting a glass to our future success.
DoppelbockOur version has a very strong maltiness, w/ very little to no hop aroma. There are very toasty notes in this darker bock version. The mouth feel is full bodied, w/ moderately low carbonation. This beer is available late in the year until early spring. It is definitely a winter warmer. Doppelbock is brewed especially for those that love a nice roasty beer, through & through.
Irish StoutOur version of a classic Irish-Style Dry Stout, but we do it w/ a unique twist. We use lager yeast & steam ferment this beer. The lager yeast gives our stout a creamy, almost milk stout, quality. There is a distinct dry roasted bitterness, & some would assume that we use coffee in our stout. Its appearance is black, w/ a brown head. This beer is remarkably smooth & very sessionable. If you like Guinness then give this a try. Irish Stouts availability is off & on throughout the year, but you can bet it will be on around St. Patrick’s Day.
MaibockThis spring seasonal has a strong malty aroma, w/ little to no noble hop aroma. This style is a malt forward deep golden amber colored lager, w/ a white head. Stronger than its cousin, Munich Helles, Maibock’s flavor is clean & well balanced between bitter & sweet. “Mai” translates to “May,” & is typically thought of as a spring festival beer. This is a seasonal that can be found at our brewery from March – May.
OktoberfestThis classic German lager is noted for its smooth, clean, & rather rich malt character. The maltiness is often described as soft & complex. There is a light to moderate toasted malt aroma that is brought out by its Initial malty sweetness, but the beer has a moderately dry finish.
Red LagerDeep reddish copper color leaves the drinker certain they were served the correct beer. This Irish Red styled lager has a light tan head & moderate caramel malt sweetness that gives way to a roasty after taste. There is a moderate level of carbonation that gives way to a dry smooth finish. Red Lager is available off & on throughout the year. Enjoy.
PumpkinStarting w/ over 100 pounds of pumpkin, this seasonal embodies pumpkin pie at its best. The design of this celebratory beer is to be sessionable, & not to wear out ones taste buds. Sit down & have a pint, or two, or three. There is a great balance of pumpkin, spice, & medium to high carbonation that ties this beer together. Available just before Halloween until it is gone (usually before Thanksgiving), this is one that you definitely do not want to miss.
Winter LagerModeled off of an American Wheat beer, the Winter Lager has an appearance of gold & is very cloudy. There is a nice white head, which gracefully laces your glass as you drink this winter concoction. The flavor is sweet, bready, & has traces of the 80+ pounds of fresh bananas that were used in the mash. Some flavors one might experience are either banana bread or a banana smoothie. Available in late November to early January, this Holiday Celebration beer will keep you warm & happy.
