i love getting massages with nino every month. mani and pedis are excellant also with their new spa chairs. you feel like royalty. face & body spa are not know for their hair salon however, i found them to be very professional and hip stylits which are great, give them a try. i read some of the other reveiws and was shocked but some reviews were old. maybe they got rid of some management cause i've always had very nice and helpful ladies greet me. i also get facials which i love.
- Pros: friendly, professional, great gift items
Very disappointed
by Brenda Wiana at Citysearch
Very dissatisified with my facial there. I have had many facials and was in town and told that was the place to go. The esthetician seemed hurried and did not explain or assess my skin nor inform me as to tips on how to care for my skin/recommend product. I then was referred by my daughter weeks later about a place called Go! Spa in Des Peres. The esthetician's name was Abbey Lopez, she was very friendly. Amazing facial massage techniques and very knowledgable. I left feeling rejuvenated and well informed. Now when in town I know just the place to go and relax!
- Pros: Good skincare
- Cons: Non-personal experience
Don't waste your money or your time!

I was given a spa day for my 40th birthday. My best friend and I both went. We had massages, facial, and our nails done. The massage was great. Marie was very good. My facial was OK. I felt like I was attacked by a porcupine! She did mention the products several times and that I would have to come back weekly because of my large pores.
Everything was OK to this point, then the craziness begins. My friend and I were supposed to have our manicures done at the same time. When I was finished they told me to wait in the waiting area for my manicure. I waited and waited, finally they told me I was in the wrong place. I sat down to have the manicure, my friend was nowhere to be seen. She had been bumped by another customer so she had to wait. Then she asked for a french manicure. The lady had no idea what she was doing. It looked sloppy. As we were waiting to check out the receptionists received a personal phone call and we had to wait. My friend paid using her credit card, they did not give her a receipt, no thank you, good bye,....
The polish on my nails started chipping that night. My cuticles were ragged and my friend's french manicure was worn off by the next afternoon. One week later the salon called my friend and told her that they forgot to charge an extra $15.00 for the french manicure. She paid them, then called me. I spoke with the manager at the time and all she would offer was a sign up for the preferred customers. Like I was going to go back there!
Not worth the time or the money. Very pricey for some things that were a mediocre service. Beware! Happy Birthday to me!
- Pros: Massage Marie was great!
- Cons: Price, upity, not worth the cost.
Rina Tesler is the Best!
by bell2008 at Citysearch
I have been to many spas around St. Louis in search of a good facial, and Rina Tesler is hands down the best! She is so sweet, and never snooty, and has the best hands. I have been a virgin to waxing, and have let her be the first to give me a leg and bikini wax, and I have to say the results were amazing. My favorites are her facials and glycolic peels. I have been getting compliments left and right about my skin, and I feel so confident after a visit with her. I always cared for my skin, and I know the treatments are a little pricy, but I have found that I am more willing to spend money on great products that she recommends after seeing these results for the past few months. I know that Rina has been in the business for several years and is very well educated, she recommends but never pushes, and it is so nice to meet someone with integrity! Thanks you Rina, you have a client for life!
- Pros: Rina Tesler, well educated, Fantastic service!
I'm through.

I've been a regular at Face & Body since 2001. My first visit was a facial; I later added massages and nail treatments as routine thereafter. The downward spiral began after a management change several years ago. Since then truly quality people were severed from the company (realeased and pressured out). When I continued my loyalty with F&B and continued my facials there with a different aesthetician, I was strongly pushed to purchase products throughout the session -- not a relaxing experience in the least. Lately scheduling an appointment has been the problem for me. The recent changes to their website have locked me out because I haven't registered at their front desk for online access, and calling has put me into an automated system death spiral. Enough is enough. My apologies to my service providers. I'm through with F&B.
- Pros: Nino's massages and Tanya's pedis
- Cons: the management's approach to customer service
A lot of money for spotty services
by sillybugger at Citysearch
I've been to both F&Bs a few times (nails, hair removal, massage) and I've bought a whole lot of gift certificates there -- it's time to stop. I usually walk out thinking that I could have had just as good a service at another place for less money. The environment is nice (well, the Clarkson site has cheesy wall art, but still...), but the staff are not trained in customer service skills (note to staff: standing in a pack at the front desk may make you fee more secure, but it is off-putting to people walking in), and some of the services that should be included are not (eyebrow tinting did not include wax touch up or trim). If they're aiming to be a east/west coast type of place, I've got news: services are cheaper and better in other cities for similar facilities. I'd pass.
- Pros: locations good for me, parking
- Cons: overpriced, average skills overall
A great spa expeience

Great Friendly service. Not to busy. One caution is a reservation is required. Recommended spa service is a massage.
- Pros: Good ambiance, great skills at their craft,
- Cons: Limited parking

I have to say that this spa is nice to look at. The staff was snooty and I was made to feel like it was a privilege for me to be allowed in their establishment. The girl who waxed my brows was a complete snot. I was told that when I got a deep conditioning for my hair that there would be some consultation. Uhhh... yeah. They slapped some conditioner on my hair and forgot about me under the dryer for 25 minutes. I joined on my birthday and was told I would be enrolled into their spa club for free (you earn discounts for every dollar spent) well, I took the time to enroll and never got my "kit". When I told them about that the next time I went I was told that I would have to pay a service charge for a lost card. Seriously? This place might be nice and they might offer some certain people some great services. I, however, was apparently not one of the lucky few they saw as a desirable customer. I was there a total of three times. Each time I was treated the same. I was dumb to go back. Not anymore.
Ho-Hum services at premium prices

The spa itself is beautiful, and the nail techs are very friendly and chatty. But the services don't live up to the surroundings, and there were problems with the body treatments. My mud wrap did not include the promised massage and didn't treat my full leg, and my friend's aesthetician skipped the front of her legs. I expect more from a $400 spa day!
- Pros: beautiful surroundings, friendly nail techs
- Cons: mediocre services, tretments do not match description in brochure
great place for a massage
by jessmartin at Citysearch
I love getting a massage at the F&B. They have such a relaxing atmosphere and it can be a great de-stressor after a long day.
- Pros: good massages, pedicures, facials and waxes
- Cons: pedicures are pricey
Great Place!!

I recently went and got a facial and I had the best service that I have ever had at any other spa in the Saint Louis area. My facial was with Kimberely. She was very welcoming and assisted me with finding products to make my face look better. I enjoyed my visit and will return soon for sure!!!
