Cowan's is a great place to eat breakfast. It is a great hometown restaurant. It is also in the downtown area of Washington, so it's really nice to be able to look around at the other shops when you're finished eating.

The fresh pies at Cowans are to die for! All of the food is good, but save room for pie! They recently remodeled and it looks nicer than ever. The servers are nice and take good care of you.
Some friends and I used to go here every single Sunday before work and it was never bad. That's another good thing, they open really early (I think 6am), so you can catch breakfast before work.

This little mom and pop place has been around for years serving up some of the best food in the area. If you want great food and plenty of it at a great price, this is the diner for you! Blue plate specials still served at lunch! The menu has been updated over the years, but all the old favorites are still there along with new dishes for the next generation's taste. Don't forget to save room for the pies! You've never seen a slice of pie as tall as you'll get here!

Cowan's is one of those places that you would say is "just like grandma's". It is very nice place to go with your family and have a wonderful, cooked when you order meal. They have got the best pies you have ever tasted. You have got to stop in you will defintly come back for more.
