IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO WORK OUT AND DON'T WANT YOUR HEALTH CLUB TO BE A SOCIAL CLUB, THIS IS THE PLACE WHERE YOU CAN GET IT DONE. NEVER TOO CROWDED.

I signed up for the fitness classes and within a month classes were changed and then dropped. The person in charge of scheduling classese was unresponsive and rude. The equipment is often in disrepair. Three of the tvs were set on "how to use dish network" and when I asked for them to be put on a channel the woman at the desk said "We can't do that. Corporate sets the channels." Very unhappy with how this gym is run and maintained. Woman's locker room was dirty, toilet seats broken.

Pros: Bright

Cons: Management

When I joined I was promised that I would be given all the tools needed to get in shape. All I got was a huge dent in my wallet from personal trainer fees. This would have been fine if I got in shape, but I saw no results. The gym itself seemed great but my overall experience was not. I felt like I was not a priority.

I love this gym due to the hours and where it is located. But I hate the fact that the machines are always broken for a long period of time and it's not just one its three or four.

Pros: hours, location, price

Cons: broken machines, some class times

I am only going to be in St. Louis for a short period of time. They worked with me on the price of a short-term membership. I also started with a trainer in a weight loss workout program. Great program, but VERY difficult and intense for about 45/50 minutes. It combines cardio and weight training. I definitely recommend the Gold's Gym in Maryland Heights - I can't speak for any of the others.

Pros: Great employees, Plan specific for me, Open all night wkdys

Cons: Hard to find parking

Editor's Review

Despite its Hollywood connections, this franchise's focus is on pumping iron, not newfangled razzle-dazzle.  See the full editorial review.
