As I see the owner has written a review indicating that you should go to her website to read reviews from REAL brides and families I felt the need to write a review. As the mother of a REAL bride that unfortunately made the mistake of going to I Do I Do I recommend that you do not make the same costly mistake. My daughter found her dream dress, but that is where the dream ended and the nightmare began. Since this is my second daughter to get married I understand how a bridal store should treat their prospective brides. This business does not come close to understanding or working towards that concept. My daughter stepped to the front of the store and put half down on her dream dress, and then right in the middle of the busy store was told to put out her arms and was measured right there in less than 30 seconds. . .not a good sign. We felt extremely uneasy but was reassured that they knew what they were doing. We were told the sample was a size 6, no tag in the dress, and asked that they order that size. When my daughter called 5 days later we were told they ordered a size 10 due to her hip size, even thought she wears a size 4 in street clothes. Long story short they refused to cancel our order, give my daughter her money back, or order her a size 6 even though our receipt said to order the sample size. My daughter decided to learn an expensive lesson rather than face the prospect of working with this store in the hopes that everything "might" turn out alright. We went to another bridal store where after measuring my daughter they ordered her a size 6, telling us they will still need to take her dress in at the waist and HIPS. Unfortunately most of what they say is untrue. I talked with the daughter of owner and owner, for 15-20 minutes and they were not upfront with me. Your big day should be a huge deal, and you should be treated as such. I recommend that you go somewhere else if you want to walk away after ordering your dress feeling that way.

Pros: prices

Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE, space,

The only reason this place gets one star is because it won't take zero. I did not have a great feeling about the customer service the first time I went in, but my aunt goes to church with the owners and her friend does their alterations, so I went against my instincts. BIG MISTAKE! My dress came in six weeks late, but luckily there was enough time to get alterations. My dress purchase came with free merchandise, so I ordered a veil that matched my dress perfectly. I was told it would be in in 2-3 weeks (my wedding was in 6 weeks). When I started calling after 3 weeks, I got the run around. They kept telling me not to worry, it would be there. HAH! I called daily for two weeks before my wedding. The Thursday before my wedding, I said I'd just take the floor sample, and the girl adamantly refused and said my veil WILL be there Friday. On Friday, I called and they said it was in, BUT the one I had ordered was discontinued so the manufacturer sent a replacement that was slightly different. Since the veil didn't come in until the afternoon before the wedding, the owner brought it to me. Imagine my horror when I took a close look at the veil and saw that it was no where close to what I had ordered. Mine had thick embroidery that matched my dress. This piece of junk had just a thin line of thread and pearls already falling off! The owner took it back and said that she would work something out. They ended up bringing me three cheap veils to choose from--at 10:30 on my wedding day. I took the least revolting because I had no choice. I was told that they would refund the amount of my original veil. When I called after my wedding, the owner's daughter was rude and said that they'd done their best. She then said that since my veil was part of a promotion, they would not refund any money. Apparently they do this to brides all the time. It is hard to believe that people who are so involved in church can be so Unchristian.

Pros: none

Cons: owners are liars and will not get your bridal merchandise to you in time for your wedding

As owner of I Do I Do Bridal, I and the staff take responsibility for any failure on our part to make your wedding or event special. If our efforts appear to lack sincerity and offer any degree of credence to the negative experiences listed on this website, we take responsibility. We entered the Bridal Market with a Firm Commitment to the mid-price bride to offer better quality, service, and prices than the National Chain Stores. Our sales volume has continuously gown at a faster pace than our infrastructure. Our store size has doubled and we are aware of, and are working, to upgrade our infrastructure to assure you a “Stress Free” experience. I invite you to visit our website to read testimonials from actual I Do I Do Brides and moms. When you make an appointment for your first visit, ask for me personally and I will address any specific concern to your satisfaction before you decide to purchase. To our many loyal and repeat customers, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to earn your trust and repeat business. Charlene Cagle Owner I Do I Do Bridal

i was pleased with the selection of dresses and i have no complaints about the service. i understand that there are a lot of negative reviews but honestly people often forget to take the time to write a good review about anything - pizza place or bridal shop. its at least worth the trip to see for yourself if its the kind of place for you - it was for me.

Pros: great selection and environment

Cons: maybe a few organizational kinks to work out

I always knew that the ugly pen writes faster and more frequently than the complimentary one. However, with the price of weddings these days, we all owe it to ourselves to read what's being said. Fortunately for our family, we didn't read the trash talk until after our great experience at I Do. My husband and I both wanted our little girl to have a dream wedding from day one. All of our dreams came true and it started when we strolled into I Do Bridal. We had made a couple of visits to other stores, but we knew we had found the right place when we met the owner and her girls. They were very professional and "courtesy" is definitely a part of what we found. I was concerned when some of my daughter's bridesmaids started complaining about the sizes being recommended for them, but when the dresses came in (on time) we found out that these ladies and their experience paid off. If you go here, you will find professionals, just save yourself some stress and let them do their job. Since they let us bring our camera and take photos, we have a scrapbook that covers the entire shopping and wedding experience (150 pages). If the marriage is half as good as the shopping experience, it will be a wonderful thing. Forget the trash talk, this place is the best in StL.

Pros: everything

Cons: none

Interesting that there is only 1 good review for this store . It is obvious that she is somehow connected to the store and they needed a good review. No one in their right mind would write a good review for this store. My experience with I Do, I Do Bridal (where I got my wedding gown) has been a million times worse than my experience with David's Bridal (where I got my Bridesmaid dresses). While David's Bridal (in Sunset Hills) dyed all 4 of my Bridesmaid's shoes different colors - that was the least of my problems. I ordered my wedding gown from I Do, I Do on November 1st 2007. My dress did not come in until the end of May 2008 (even though they told me that it would be in by April at the latest). They forgot to order my headpiece which is still not in (and my wedding is in 4 weeks). The entire store is unorganized - papers and orders everywhere. Everytime I was in there, someone (ususally multiple people) were complaining. The "manager" pinned me at my "fitting" instead of the seamstress telling me that the seamstress would pick up my dress that night and call me the next day. I never heard from the seamstress, so I called 1 week later and she had never heard of me, did not have my dress, and told me that no one should have pinned my dress except for her. Having to call more than 10 times only got us rude customer service. They apologized, and followed it with "it is up to you to accept it because we will not do anything to make you happy." I am the wedding coord at a downtown hotel & I have & will continue to tell all of my clients about my bad experience. I will NEVER recommend I Do, I Do Bridal. I picked up my dress and am taking it to another seamstress for alterations. I just wish that this store could have been honest with me from the beginning and, is it too much to ask for friendly service? I reported them to all of the local new stations.

Pros: Nothing!

Cons: Customer service, dirty facility...basically EVERYTHING!

I sure wish I'd read these reviews before I decided to purchase my wedding dress and accessories at I Do I Do. Like others, everything I ordered came in late. I ordered my veil 10 months ago and today they gave me the wrong one (with 5 weeks until the wedding). I have called many many times and am always told "It will be in next week... we'll call you" (but they won't). I can't wait to get the right veil in, if I ever get it, so I can be done doing business with them! No bride needs the extra headaches and hassles that I Do I Do provides!

Pros: Good selection and prices

Cons: orders lost and messed up, horrible customer service

My daughter was asked to be in a wedding this June. The bride got her dresses from Ido Ido. When we went for the initial fitting to buy the dress, the place was chaos, but I had no complaints about the service. It was a weekend and that was understandable. It wasn't unitl after we ordered the dress that things went bad. They never called to tell me the dress came in. I had to call them. Then, when we went to pick it up, it was too small around the chest and about 12 inches too long in the skirt. I thought - "No big deal", they'll alter it. Oh NO! They don't alter bridemaid or flower girl dresses unless you make "special arrangements." When I initally called to check on the status of the dress, I asked about alterations and they said they could alter if needed. Now, 10 days before the wedding, we are left to find someone to do the alterations at an expense of another $100. When we came to pick up the dress, there were numerous cutsomers in there and they were ALL complaining about something. There was a shouting match between one group and an employee. I would beware before I trust such a big day to this place. I hope they make some badly needed changes or they will be out of business in no time. They need to hire more seamstresses, an organizer, and build a "meeting" room to take cutomers that are openly unhappy. I hate to leave a bad review, but I think they really need to pay attention to these, especially since the complaints are so frequent and all revolve around the same thing.

Pros: large selection, central location

Cons: only one seamstress, not too concerned about customer service

okay after reading many horrible reviews i was a little skeptical of going to i do i do however im glad i disregarded the reviews because after searching many stores in the area i found a home at i do i do bridal filled with wonderful customer service. this family business extended their open arms and even considered their part time girls to be part of the family. they are a team - i found no other place that was this welcoming. i do i do's employees, some of which are high school and college-aged, are more proficient and knowledgeable than many of the "experts" of the industry that i was recommended to. i happily purchased my wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses, tiara, veil, and invitations - they all came in on time - my invitations actually came early! the whole process ran smoothly and they even helped me get through a few pre-wedding meltdowns. these people are wonderful people and everyone who reads these reviews needs to take them with a grain of salt - just because a few have a bad experience and have not found this store to be the one for them doesnt mean that this isnt the store for you. give it a try - hopefully youre as happy as me! oh and isabel - there is no one better!!!

Pros: customer service - best ive found!

Cons: you only get one wedding!

I ordered my wedding gown in July of 2007 for my June 2008 wedding. They told me it would come in November. When I called in November, they said December. When I called in December, they said January. Finally, they said the ship date would be April 15th. When I asked what was taking so long, they said Maggie Sottero makes the dress based on when your wedding is, not when you order it. So I'm being penalized for planning ahead? Um, no. I cancelled my order, lost my deposit, and bought a clearance dress off the hanger at Clarice's where I received GREAT service.
