I first experienced Sound Stone Massage about a year ago. It is the best massage I've ever had! My wife and I have been undergoing a lot of stress lately, and I decided to take my wife with me this time. We both just felt totally relaxed and de-stressed afterward. The ambiance - the music - the sound table vibrations - the hot and cold stone massage therapy - the whole experience is really the best around. What a wonderful treat to give yourself or another person!

My husband bought this gift cert for me because I was incredibly stressed with an illness in the family. Jackie offered empathetic understanding and an incredible soothing and healing massage. I had never had hot stone massage before and I don't know that I'll ever have anything besides one now! I liked that the experience was really focused on the client's total relaxation...headphones with relaxing music and the warm vibrating table. Just a wonderful experience.

My boyfried bought me a gift certicate for a deep tissue body massage and I kept putting it off. I finally used it and have already asked him to buy me another for my christmas gift. Jackie was amazing. She took the time to talk to me as to what I wanted out of the massage... relaxation, pain relief, health reasons. After talking she spent the first part of the massage concentrating on the area that I requested and then the second half was a general body massage. She also puts headphones on you so that you can listen to soothing music. Which I really liked because I have been to some places where they want to talk to you the whole time which does not help in the relaxation process. The bed adds to the massage also by feeding the music vibrations into your body. The stones that she uses are awesome. The rounded edges soothe the muscle tension differently and better than any hand massage could ever achieve. The hot stones sent chills up and down my entire body and I could just feel the tension being release. She also uses cold stones. I wasn't sure that I would be able to handle this but after the initial shock they offered something new to relaxing the body. She also explained how the brain recognizes the coldness in the body and then sends more circulation to the area so for therapy purposes it is more effective. Some suggestions I would give: 1)if you wear contacts don't wear them for the massage use your glasses instead. 2) definitely do the deep tissue full body massage with the stone and the theraptuic bed. 3) don't be in a rush to get in and get out... take the time to talk to Jackie and enjoy your short time of relaxation. You won't regret it, I promise! I would recommend Jackie @ Sound Stone Massage to anyone.

Pros: relaxing, knowledgable, professional, caring, worth the price

Cons: can't think of any

Hot Stone Massage in a warm, cozy environment ... all the stress is gently rubbed away! I had my first hot stone massage 5 years ago and was wary of trying again (in case it wouldn't live up to the first one). I had no reason to worry. From the moment I met Jackie I felt comfortable. We discussed what I liked and didn't like about my prior massage experience, so that she could be sure to do and not do what was important to me. When the hot pebbles were placed between my toes ... I just melted! I've decided that hot stone massages are the perfect "reward" for reaching my various goals ... mile"stone" takes on a new meaning when you are looking forward to the next hot stone massage!

Pros: Ambience, Flexible scheduling

Cons: None

I just want to say that my first experience with a stone massage was wonderful. I have had other massages, but not like this. The hot stones on my body was a great experience and then the cold ones on my spine was just as great. In my opinion Jackie does a great job of explaining the technique and then applying her knowledge to every part of you body. In combination with this process you have headphones on with the most peaceful music and the heated table. It really makes you forget any problems that you may be having and takes you to another world. After she was done I was so relaxed that I went and had a pedicure at the same place and I have since passed on her name to another co-worker who got a gift certificate for his wife. I seriously recommend this massage and plan on going back sometime in the future.

Pros: Great friendly atmoshpere, love the ambience of the house

Cons: non that i can find

Finally, a masseuse who really understands what a real massage experience is all about. I had my best massage ever in a Hua Hin, Thailand resort. It was perfect in ever way. The resort ambiance set the mood from the get go. I'm not a fan of the big mall-strip mall massage experience. It's a hassle just to get to the door and when you walk out the cold fast track world slaps you in the face. At Sound Stone the studio is located in a quaint New England cottage house resting atop a small hill in the accessible Webster-Shrewsbury area. The waiting room is a zen-like sanctuary - dimmed lighting, water flowing, music playing softly. Though I couldn't see the Sea of Thailand my thoughtful reflections certainly reminded me of my Thai experience. And, it is a very private room where I didn't have to wait with hair, nail, facial and waxing customers. It was just me! Quiet. Relaxed. When I walked inside the massage room I found the sound table centered in a large space that was drenched in the warmth of wood tones - floor and walls - no cold floor or sterile drywalls here. The decor had a calming feel with the use of soft tropical colors in the chairs, tables, screens, draperies, and wall art. I'm an interior designer so creating the right atmosphere is important to me. But having a great massage is too! I followed Jackie from the now closed Green Door Spa at Frontenac Plaza - the best masseuse they had. She uses these warm volcanic stones that are both smooth and sterile. As the warm stones moved across my back with gentle but firm pressure I felt the sedating experience of the music vibrating the table in rhythm to the music I was hearing. This was a total mind and body experience. This was not a cookie cutter big box massage. When I went back for a second time I invited a friend and afterwards we had a late lunch in Old Webster. It was a great ladies day out. If you like personal attention in a quiet atmosphere these is the place to go.

Pros: qualified expertise, restful ambiance, hassle free location

Cons: none

I have travelled to some of the finest hotels and resorts in the world and experienced countless massages. Sound Stone Massage is on par with the best of them. Jackie provides a peaceful and quiet room, has the best table I have ever been on, and gives a matchless massage. Not only does she give superior massages, Jackie is current with the latest healthy living tips and techniques and is always willing to share her expertise with her clients! I LOVED THIS MASSAGE!!!
