The service here was HORRIBLE! Our waitress forgot my drink. We had to hunt her down to get it. She didn't seem to really care either. The table across the room was actually pounding on their table and yelling "Hello" to try and get their servers attention! The servers were only interested in speaking Chinese to each other and massaging each others backs. I have to say we loved our food, the pad thai and pineapple fried rice. Maybe do take-out and save money by not tipping and not buying drinks. We won't dine in their again.
Pros: food
Cons: servers

Don't go on a Monday night. We waited a long time for our food. The people who came in right ahead of us were served promptly and we waited as 2 later tables were also served . I ordered a special... crispy duck with asparagus. There were about 5 bites of meat and the rest was fried skin. The whole dish had zero flavor. My husband had lamb with shrimp fried rice. It was a nice portion. The waitress never apologised for our wait, came to check how the food was or ask if we wanted another drink.. Another woman was cleaning and setting tables and talking on a phone the whole time. The place was very empty so there was no excuse for bad service and mediocre food. It was a very disappointing meal, we have had good service and meals in the past
Pros: none
Cons: poor service, disapointing meal

The ambience of the entire restaurant belies the mall plaza look of Lafayette Center, where you can find Manee Thai. It is not far from Manchester Road, but doesn't face out so may be tricky to locate. Once you're inside and amongst wonderful staff, great food, and a warm atmosphere it is worth the wait and the money. I arrived with over 10 people and we all received our meals at the same time and they weren't incorrect or cold. They were hot and tasty. Manee Thai is a St. Louis Thai restaurant #1 pick, according to St. Louis Riverfront Times. If I had $20 to "burn" on food, I would jet straight to Manee Thai and sip some Thai ice team with Panang Curry or a big bowl of Duck Noodle Soup. Great food, great service, good location, and happy faces. Manee Thai does it.
Pros: Delicious menu, savory drinks, excellent service, good value
Cons: Coat racks could be in a convenient location, magazines could be in outer entrance area

We're fans of Thai cuisine, now that we've discovered Manee Thai. The favorites are Pad Thai, and the appetizer Larb, both excellent. Try the soups. The decor is tasteful, simple and comfortable, with wood paneling and Siamese and Buddhist items. Many of the staff wear simple but elegant Thai costumes.
Pros: Great food!
Cons: Small

My work group and I went to Manee Thai today for lunch. I had read one poor review of the place, but questioned the wisdom of trusting a single reviewer to form my opinion. I found Manee Thai to be excellent, as did the other 5 people present. The restaurant decor was pleasant and interesting, not junky or cluttered like many restaurants are. We were seated immediately, the waitress took our drink orders quickly, and despite having 6 separate checks, our lunch orders were taken efficiently and correctly. The servers were gracious and polite, and the appetizers were fantastic (Chicken Satay and the Soup of the Day). Our main orders were all hot, aesthetically pleasant and delicious. Manee Thai now has 6 new customers, a few of whom were first-time Thai food eaters. Can't wait to go back for some of their shrimp Pad Thai. Excellent.
Pros: Great Thai food, Very polite servers, Reasonably priced

We waited 10 minutes before being ACKNOWLEDGED when we arrived promptly for our reservation. Others waiting got fed up and left! We brought our own champagne ($10 corking fee) and asked for champagne glasses, water and Thai iced tea. We got tea, red wine glasses and no water. The kicker was the HOUR wait before getting our food. People who came in after us ate before us. I had to ask twice for chili sauce, they brought one pair of chopsticks when asked for two, and the food was decent but inconsistently heated. We asked for the manager; the server said that she was in Thailand. We asked who was in charge; she said, "No one." It was obvious. They took 20% off upon complaining, but even a free meal wouldnt bring us back. My favorite food is Thai, and I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant, even on a non-holiday.
Pros: Cleanliness, Taste of Food, Thai Iced Tea!!!
Cons: , Seating Promptness, Temperature of Food
