Zhivago's Russian Restaurant

Below expectations, but worth a second chance

Took my wife here for Valentine's. First impression was a nice atmosphere with the live pianist, but they didn't have our reservation down. We sat in a very cozy booth, but unfortunately from the very beginning service was poor. Certain things are expected in this class of restaurant and were not performed. The specials were not described to us, no appetizer plates or forks were provided, table was left not cleared for longer than should be. Our waiter was MIA for most the night attending to other tables and the restaurant was not even busy. The food was good, but not great. The experience unfortunately was not made special, but I would try it again if another couple wanted us to take them there.

Authentic!!!

This is as authentic as it comes! The food is great - try the appetizer platters, my favorite! Depending on how hungry you are, that might be enough! The atmosphere is awesome and service is one of the best in St. Louis area!

Romantic crown jewel cuisine

Zhivago's is a fabulous choice for that special evening out with your significant other. The fare is absolute perfection, from traditional american to wild game there is no finer dining experience in St. Louis for the money. Dining experience and atmosphere versus $$$ makes Zhivago's St. Louis' best kept secret. This restaurant doesn't recieve the recognition and attention that the atmosphere,service, and excellent cuisine that they offer deserves. You can't go wrong with a visit to Zhivago's for that special occasion with the one you love. Your significant other will be very impressed.
