It was like one week before prom and I had just found the perfect dress... The only problem was, I didn't have a bra to wear underneath it... My mom had heard good things about Ann's, so we headed there... As soon as we got in a lady greeted us and had me explain my situation... I got into a dressing room right away and put my dress on to try with the bras. We tried a couple and then she was really honest and said that I didn't need one with the dress I would be wearing... She fixed my dress for me and it looked great even though I didn't end up buying anything they were extremely helpful...
Pros: great customer service
Cons: pricey

The shop is old fashioned looking, not slick like Victoria's secret. The dressing rooms are cramped and offer little privacy. I am slim but tall and the woman helping me and myself where in very close quarters. All this aside the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I went in a 36B came out a 34D in the most comfortable bra ever!! While pricey, no more so than at a department store. Not a store you want to browse in, but if you go in with what you want I think the staff will be able to help you.
Pros: knowledgeable staff
Cons: old fashioned

I heard about Ann's from my hair stylist. She went in for a bra fitting and told me that they work with women who have had masectomies and did a fabulous job correctly fitting a woman for a bra. About a year later I decided that I'd give it a try. The associate that worked with me was very professional and did an exceptional job fitting me for my "correct" bra size. When I walked into Ann's I was wearing a 34B...when I walked out, I was wearing a 32D. The associate explained why I was wearing the wrong bra size and the mistakes that most women make when fitting themselves for a bra. As much as I love Victoria's Secret...they don't know what they are doing when it comes to fitting a woman properly for a bra. Now that I know my correct size I can purchase bras anywhere and I feel so much more comfortable wearing the correct size.

Ordering online with these people is a miserable experience. Their website doesn't work properly, and if you try to e-mail them, your e-mails get sent back to you because it says: "mailbox is too full". The staff can't help you over the phone after you try to find out what happned to your order because "the girl who handles Internet orders is not in today". (Lousy excuse) They are very unprofessional and do not cater to the online customer in any way. My order couldn't be filled because the item was no longer in stock or being manufactured, yet they still list it on their website and haven't taken it off yet. I asked to replace it with a substitute in stock and she said they didn't carry it, they would have to "special order it". (it wasn't a 'rare' item.) I haven't heard anything back from them after two weeks and I still can't get answers from the staff working there on a Saturday. Apparently, Internet Phone Order Girl only works M-F. I will NOT be ordering from Ann's Bra Shop ever again. There are far better customer-oriented websites to order plus sized undergarments from.

When I was 6 months pregnant, I went in looking for nursing bras. I mentioned to the sales girl that I really wanted good bras as I had nursed my son for a couple of years. The sales girl argued with me very loudly with me about the fact that I had nursed my son past the age of 1. She would not stop going on and on about how it was "weird," despite my attempts to just change the subject and get on with looking at bras. I finally had to just leave without buying anything just to get her to shut up. I sent a letter to the shop outlining the incident and received no response whatsoever. So I am assuming that either her views on nursing are shared by the company or the company does not care about its customers.
Pros: selection
Cons: customer service

They went out of their way to help me! I was being released from the hospital and my newborn was being transfered to a children's hospital. I needed to be fitted for nursing bras and to rent a breastpump since I would be away from my baby at night. We called from the hospital and could not get there before they were scheduled to close. They not only had everything ready when I got there and took the time to fit me, but they even stayed 25 minutes after they were supposed to close just to help me. The nursing bras were more than at other stores, but they were the most comfortable and in my opinion, worth every penny. Their kindness was overwhelming to a very scared young mom!

Very expensive and very poor service. I have tried three times and only one of my experiences was acceptable. The place smells like cigarette smoke and there were waits that seemed to be an hour long. They offer a great selection and professional measuring; however, I will be finding another place to shop.
Pros: great selection, professionalmeasuring
Cons: , smokey smell, long waits
