I love this place...
by michaelggraham at Citysearch
We go to the location in the Chesterfield Valley. I still love the manager's special, with meat sauce and mazithra cheese. The Old Spaghetti Factory is just a great value. Good food, good price. Highly recommended for families.
- Pros: Value, good food, great family friendly place
- Cons: Not much more than spaghetti.
The best pasta and ambience in st. louis
by stanistheman at Citysearch
The old spaghetti factory is a st louis tradition. I remember going here with my family when i was a little boy and now i bring my own family here! The pasta is simply the best in st. louis. Their sodas are top notch also. The decor is gorgeous - they just don't put as much thought in modern buildings! You cant go wrong with the old spaghetti factory from the price to the decor to the staff!
- Pros: decor, food, friendly staff
- Cons: none
Never again

Never going back.We had to move from our table for reasons i won't say.The sever had to move us because our waitress was no where to be found. He replaced our salads and made sure we where taken care of.The manager never came over and they wanted us to pay full price. The sever was the best, we gave him the tip, a big one and the waitress got nothing.Again i can not say what happened but we will never step foot in this place again. The food is nothing to write home about.Had fast food better than what they serve.
- Pros: No pros
I have had way better!

I was no where near impressed with the food. The establishment was picture perfect, beautiful, and exciting. The food is where the problem was. The meat sauce for the spaghetti horrible. My girlfriend had chicken marsela, which she sent back. The lasagna was plain and had that disasterous meat sauce. But the salad dressing for the salads was great. I would not recommend this place, for food, to anyone.

In Short
Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more. Other popular favorites are the baked lasagna--layers of noodles, tomato sauce and four kinds of cheese--and the fettuccine Alfredo. Meals include a green salad, fresh-baked bread and ice cream.
Bad service and mediocre food.

The service was very slow and we weren't even there at a busy time of day. There were empty tables all aound us, but it still took 20 minutes to just get water. The food was mediocre at best. The building was beautiful, but between the service and just ok food, I won't be heading back anytime. There are much better places in St. Louis to go eat...
- Pros: Nice building
- Cons: Bad service and the food wasn't all that great
First time there
by LauraP8269 at Citysearch
This was my first trip ever to St.Louis and I had a blast. We had a long wait because we were late getting there and there was numerous very large parties there that evening. Eventhough there was a long wait the bar was easaily accessable for soft drinks and such. Once we were seated we were prom;ptly greeted by our server and it just so happened that it was his first nite and we were his very first table. A tabke of 12 women at that. The server remained pleasent thhrough out the whole night and the Manager checked in on us quite frequently. The food was great. The only thing that I was not pleased with was the dip that came with the flat bread. It was a little to salty for me. But all in all we had a great time. I will definately go back there again.
- Pros: The whole resturant was great
- Cons: we had to pay for parking. It would have been nice if the businesses valiated the parking.
Avoid if on a time schedule

We have visited the OSF in the past and usually had a decent time. Not this time. They re-opened with a new menu and apparently an entirely new staff who had no clue how to handle a large group. We arrived at 5:10 pm and had no service until 5:30 when the bus boy filled our waters. At 5:45 our waitress showed up and we informed her that we were in a rush, we were taking our kids to a concert at 7:00 and wanted to leave by 6:30. Our food arrived at 6:20 and they failed to make three our dishes, one being a grilled cheese sandwich. After asking for the remainder of our food and our checks, our waitress did not return until 6:45 and still did not have all of our food or our checks. After finally getting our checks and again indicating that were extremely late and could she process them quickly. After 10 minutes we had to physically track down someone to determine what was taking so long and were told that "you are in line behind other credit cards". Totally unacceptable. I am telling everyone I know about this ordeal and if you are ever going to eat there and need to get to a show or something, I would avoid this location at all cost.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Could not get their act together

Highly overrated
by juice13610 at Citysearch
A big group of my family ate here after a long day at the zoo. It's one of those places that wants to send the customers out saying "Wow, it was so great, they gave us a whole loaf of bread rather than biscuits or rolls!" Big deal. Any way, the food was extremely subpar. I got the chicken fettucini dish and like another reviewer said, Fazoli's (Italian fast food chain) does it better. The others were also not impressed. However, you can eat here for fairly cheap. Then again, why would you want to? This restaurant is highly overrated. In other words, DONT EAT HERE.
- Pros: Seated promptly, very nice atmosphere
- Cons: Be careful when ordering, decide if you want horrible or subpar food (your o
